Few times here, after or while making different projects, I thanked my sewing friends for the inspiration and support. For example, my kind intelligent adventurous friend and compatriot Inna from "Thewallinna and her adventures" and Mary AndersonAthey, who always has a warm word and action for anybody, dear Julie with her great taste (unfortunately, don't know how to connect with her now) and, of course, Ellen Hatteland from Ellen's Sewing Passion. During many years I admire her ability to mix and combine the fabrics of different structures, textures and colours asking myself how she can be sure if the fabrics match. Now this her ability became a real fashion trend promoted by many brands and, at last, I decided I am ready to try to do something like that myself, too. I am not so brave to create unbelievable mixes but I am surely happy with the result I've got here with my new dress corresponding to my style:-)

Декілька разів я тут дякувала моїм подругам по шиттю за натхнення та підтримку. Наприклад, моїй добрій, розумній співвітчизниці Інні з "Thewallinna and her adventures", яка полюбляє пригоди, і Mary AndersonAthey, у якої завжди знайдеться для кожного добрі слова і справи, милій Julie, з прекрасним смаком (на жаль, не знаю, як з нею зараз зв'язатися) і, звісно, Ellen Hatteland з Ellen's Sewing Passion. Протягом багатьох років я захоплююсь її вмінням змішувати та поєднувати тканини різні за структурою, текстурою та кольором, щоразу дивуючись як вона може бути впевнена, що ці тканини пасуватимуть одна одній. Зараз ця її здатність перетворилася на справжній модний тренд (напрямок), який просувають багато брендів тож і я, нарешті, вирішила, що також готова створити щось подібне. Я не така смілива, щоб утворювати якісь надзвичайні суміші, проте щаслива з тим, що у мене вийшло з цією сукнею відповідно до мого стилю :-)
The PDF Burda pattern 6564 caught my eye at the first sight but I'd had no intention to make it of different fabrics until came across the piece of woolen flowered crepe. Since that moment I couldn't refuse the idea to use it for this pattern. As there was only 1.26 m x 144 cm of the crepe, it was clear I needed one more fabric. Before I chose the correct one, three others were bought and now I have the whole collection of green and blue pieces which otherwise I would probably never buy. Finally, the best variant seemed to be black and green plaid fabric. I had about 2.90 m x 140 cm and about 1.20 m (+ remnants from the sides) left.
PDF Burda модель 6564 привернула мою увагу з першого погляду, але у мене не було жодного наміру шити її з різних тканин поки не побачила цей вовняний креп квіточками. З того моменту ідея використати його саме для цієї моделі вже мене не покидала. Але оскільки у мене було лише 1.26 м х 144 см тканини, без додаткового матеріалу було не обійтися. До того як вибрала той, що треба, купила три інших і тепер у мене ціла колекція зелено-синіх відрізів яких я б в іншому випадку, скоріш за все, не купила б. Зрештою, найкращим варіантом для комбінування видалася тканина в чорно-зелену клітинку. Її було десь біля 2.90 х 140 і біля 1.20 м (+ випади з ширини) залишилося.
The sewing is quick and not difficult. The only reinforced detail is the facing. The zipper is sewed into the side seam instead of the centre back. As always the shoulder seams are basted on the back with slight gathering and stitched on the front.
Пошиття швидке. Єдина деталь зміцнена прокладкою - обшивка. Молнія, замість середини спинки, вшита в боковий шов. Як завжди плечові шви зметуємо по спинці з лекгим призбируванням, зшиваємо - по передній частині.
Before joining details 1 to detail 2, I sewed them together for 1.5 cm (seam allowance) right into the seam of joining the details and the facing. I have got one detail and in this way, it was easier to work further with it.
До того як з'єднати деталі 1 з деталлю 2 я їх зшила на 1,5 см (припуск на шов) прямо в шов з'єднання деталей з обшивкою. Вийшла одна деталь, тому у такий спосіб з ними було легше працювати.
The right line of the hem was defined in the way I always use when working with bias-cut skirts.
Правильну лінію низу було визначено у спосіб яким завжди користуюся, коли працюю з кроєними навскіс спідницями.
The dress is very beautiful, very pleasant to wear, and fits well. I think I will make the summer modification, too.
Сукня дуже гарна, її дуже приємно одягати і вона прекрасно на мені сидить. Думаю, літню модифікацію теж пошию.
