My Needlecrafts Video Review #9

Unexpectedly, I've got some news from my crafts room :-)The video is in Ukrainian. It tells about reviving an old bead embroidery project which will become a piece of decor some day, at least I hope for it. I'm also telling a little about my new dress and my matching the jewelry to complete the outfit. At the end a couple of words about cutting a new skirt of a kind of boucle fabric.

3 Strand Yellow Necklace

 

Yesterday at last finished yellow projects :-) The last one is a three strand necklace made of four kinds of glass beads. The strands are about 109, 106, and 100 cm. As today our National Flag Day, I took the photo to honour it :-) 

Жовте намисто на три низки

Вчора закінчила нарешті жовті проекти :-) Останній - це намисто на три низки з чотирьох видів скляних намистин. Низки на приблизно 109, 106 і 100 сь. Оскільки сьогодні у нас День Державного Прапору, фото зробила, щоб його вшанувати :-)

By the way, I tried on Water Melody Necklace and this one yellow, they look lovely together.

I also added one more strand to Simple Shapes necklace.

До речі, я приміряла це нове жовте разом з намистом "Мелодія води", виглядаює  гарно :-)

Також додала ще одну низку до намиста "Прості форми".

Golden Mean Necklace (Updated)

I updated the necklace at last. I see no crucial difference with the initial because I decided I love it enough as it is. Besides the torn up rope I had to rip the rest as well. Four of them were rusty and ready to break too. I wish I knew why it happened. So in fact, I strung six ropes using new bead wire and added one more, they are seven now thus the necklace became fluffier and heavier.

Намисто "Золота середина" (Оновлено)

Оновила нарешті намисто. Великої різниці з тим що було не дуже видн: я вирішила, що воно мені і так дуже подобається. Крім порваної низки, довелося розібрати і решту: ще чотири тросики виявилися іржавими і також ненадійними. Хотілося б знати чому таке сталося. Отже в підсумку, я зробила шість низок на новому тросику і додала ще одну, тепер їх сім. Тож намисто стало пухнастішим і важчим.

The rest of materials, or at least most of them, I am planning to use for making a few necklaces to go on with simple forms. I hope not to postpone that for unknown time as I have the only table for both sewing and beading so besides the piles of beads, the piles of cut clothes are on it too:-)

Решту матеріалів, чи принаймні більшу їх частину, планую використати для декількох намист в продовження теми простих форм. Сподіваюся, це н відкладеться на невизначений час, бо стіл у мене один і для шиття і для виготовлення прикрас, тож на ньому не лише купа намистин, а ще і покроєні раніше речі лежать :-)

Simple Shapes Necklace

In the previous post I told about the preparation to fix and renovate my Golden Mean Necklace. However, after looking through the materials, the first thing I strung was a two strand simple necklace every rope of which  assembled with one kind of beads. 

Намисто "Прості форми" 

В попередньому дописі я розповідала про підготовку до ремонту та переробки мого намиста "Золота середина". Проте переглянувши матеріали, першим я зробила просте намисто на дві низки, складених з одного виду намистин кожна.

Green Set. Green Random Rope IV

 

The last necklace of my Green Set  is a simple rope assembled, in fact, with the rest of beads left from stringing rope I, II and III. I didn't follow any definite pattern, made it in random order alterating small lampwork beads, and 11.0 and 8.0 seed beads. The length of the rope is 1.5 m. The common weight of all the set is 263 grams.

Останнє намисто з мого Зеленого набору - це, фактично, проста низка зібрана з рештків намистин, які залишилися після нанизування І, ІІ і ІІІ низок. Жодних схем я не додтримувалася, нанизувала у випадковому порядку чергуючи невеликі намистини lampwork та бісер розмірів 11.0 і 8.0. Ця остання низка вийшла 1,5 м довжиною. Загальна вага набору 263 грами.

Green Set. Assorted Pendant. Necklace III

 

The third necklace of my Green Set is ready. This time it is a pendant compiled of assorted beads and various findings hung on a chain.

Третє намисто з мого Зеленого набору. Цього разу це кулон зібраний з різноманітних намистин та фурнітури підвішаний на ланцюжок.

Green Set. Necklace II

For the second rope of my Green Set also the lampwork beads are used but less in size than for the first. When stringing this kind of beads it's important to solve the problem of a balance because the heaviest beads will pull the rope and the necklace will look as it wants, and not as it's expected. I am glad I solved it in my favour :-)

Зелений набір. Намисто ІІ 

Для другої низки мого Зеленого набору також використала намистини lampwork, але меншого розміру ніж для першого. Нанизуючи такі намистини треба вирішити питання балансу, бо найважчі намистини будуть тягнути низку і намисто буде лежати так як воно хоче, а не як від нього очикується. Радію, що я впоралася з цим завданням:-)

Green Set. Attention-Grabbing Necklace I

The first necklace of my the Green set which earrings were shared in the previous post. It is an asymmerical statement piece compiled of big lampwork beads, crystal rondels, seed beads and findings. 

Зелений набір. Намисто "Зверни на мене увагу" 

Перше намисто з мого "Зеленого" набору, сережки з якого були представлені в попередньому дописі. Це крупне асиметричне намисто зібране з великих намистин lampwork,  кристалів, бісеру та фурнітури.

Water Melody Necklace

 

A quick beading project inspired by Facebook comment to my post about this dress. My colleague described it as melody of bulbs. I enjoyed this definition so much that during the evening strung this simple necklace. Obviously looking at the piece we see no bulbs, so I changed the name to Water Melody but it is the same idea, no doubt :-) 

Намисто "Мелодія води"

Швидкий проект з намистин натхненний коментарем на фейсбуці до цієї сукні. Моя колега описала його як "мелодію бульбашок". Мені так сподобалося це визначення, що протягом вечора нанизала це просте намисто. Очевидно, що бульбашок на ньому невидно, тож назву я змінила на "Мелодію води", але, без сумніву, ідея та сама :-) 

The necklace is made of blue glass beads 5 mm and 4 mm goldish. It took two 50 g packs of the blue (two hues) and less than a half 50 g pack of the goldish beads to string two threads, one is about 90 cm and another is about 110 cm. Real colours are on all the photos except with me :-) 

Necklaces strung of mono beads are quite stiff so when adding the clasp, the necklace must be twisted to have enough thread for that when the rope is being worn. 

Намисто нанизано з двох видів блакитних скляних намистин 5 мм та 4 мм золотистих. На дві низки, одна довжиною біля 90 см та інша біля 110 см, пішло дві упаковки по 50 г блакитних і менше половини однієї золотистих. Справжні кольори на всіх фото кім як зі мною :-) 

Намиста нанизані з моно намистин доволі жорсткі, тому перед тим як додавати застібку, треба намисто перекрутити, щоб залишилося достатньо дроту для цього, коли намисто буде носитися.

Fir Tree Bugle Beads Rope

Right after my Christmas tree is disassembled, I think I had more than enough it not to miss its ornaments for quite a long time. But in a couple of months I am already ready to dream about next winter holidays time, don't mind watching a thematical film, and also get inspiration from that. I am glad when this mood implements into something materialistic not only teasing the imagination. For instance, this time I, at last, made a bugle beads rope surely inspired by Christmas tree lights thanking to the used material. 

Джгут зі стеклярусу "Ялинка" 

Одразу як розбираю свою різдвяну ялинку, завжди впевнена, що мені її було достатньо, щоб не сумувати за її прикрасами доволі довго. Але вже за пару місяців готова мріяти про наступні зимові свята, не проти переглянути якійсь фільм на цю тему та отримати з усього цього натхнення. Також радію, коли цей настрій реалізується у щось матеріальне, а не лише дражнить уяву. Скажімо, цього разу я, нарешті, сплела джгут зі стеклярусу, дизайн якого точно не міг не навіяти думки про святкові вогники на ялинці. 

The rope made by sapphirus bead weaving tutorial. I made two samples of different ropes both from the same designer and liked the both a lot but chose the one without incorporated 11.0 seed beads. 

Джгут сплетений за майстер класом від  sapphirus bead weaving. Я зробила два зразки різних джгутів від того самого дизайнера, обидва мені дуже сподобалися, але обрала той, який без бісеру 11.0.

Blue Eye Necklace

Of course, I have the dress complemented by this necklace, probably as I haven't worn them together yet,  but as the photographing of the necklace is quick and botherless, the post about jewellery, as a rule, goes first :-) The idea of the both was inspired by my last year Albania vacation one episode of which was devoted to Blue Eye, a unique geological spot, a spring of unbelievably clean fresh and cold water. Very picturesque place indeed. I'd love to find myself there again.

Намисто "Блакитне око" 

Звісно, у мене є сукня до якої це намисто чудово пасуватиме, мабуть, бо я їх ще разом не приміряла, але оскільки фотографування намиста - процес швидкий і безтурботний, допис про прикраси, як правило, іде першим:-) Ідея для обох навіяна моєю минулорічною відпусткою в Албанії, один з епізодів якої був присвячений Блакитному оку, унікальному геологічному утворенню, джерелу неймовірно чистої, свіжої і холодної води. Дуже мальовнича місцина. Із задоволенням опинилася б там знову.

 

I had a lot of materials, prepared last year, to choose, combine and mix. I made two necklaces, a triple strand, the shortest is about 38-40 cm, and a double strand, about 120 cm in length. 

P.S. By the way, I dived into that spring ;-)

У мене було багато матеріалів, підготовлених ще минулого року, щоб обирати, комбінувати і змішувати. Зробила я два намиста, одне на три низки, найкоротше приблизно 38-40 см, і одне на дві, приблизно 120 см завдовжки. 

P.S. До речі, я в те джерело пирнала ;-)

Lvivsky Square Necklace III

The last part of the Lvivsky Square set is a double short necklace made with the same materials. The earrings are planned but I am not sure about the desired outcome.

Намисто "Львівський квадрат" ІІІ 

Остання частина набору - це намисто з двох низок виготовлене з тих самих матеріалів. Сережки заплановані, але я поки невпевнена що хочу на виході.

1.Вишивка. 

2.Намисто з вишитим квадратом.

3.Низка з ланцюжком.

Lvivsky Square Necklace II

 

The second necklace to wear together with Square Pendant is not a square at all :-) It is a rope made of alternating pieces of chain with seed beads and beads components. Joining elements with opening the chain links is not a very good idea as the strength of their connection can weaken while wearing the necklace. It would be better to use  small jump rings but I have only few of them and now there is no store here to buy them. On the other hand, the strength of my own body can be broken at any moment so those links' issue can be ignored undoubtedly.

Намисто "Львівський Квадрат" ІІ 

Друге намисто, щоб носити в парі з квадратним кулоном - це зовсім не квадрат, це - низка, створена чергуванням відрізків ланцюжка з компонентами, зібраними з бісеру та намистин. З'єднувати елементи, порушуючи цілісність ланок ланцюжку - не дуже гарна ідея, оскільки втрачається міцність з'єднання ланок і вони з часом можуть розкриватися. Для цього краще б підійшли маленькі колечка, але у мене їх лише декілька штук в запасі і купити зараз немає де, тож з огляду, що зараз міцність власного організму може порушитися в один момент, не те що ланцюжка, таку дрібницю можна проігнорувати.

Lvivsky Square Necklace I

 

Today I had a chance to finish my, in fact UFO, unfinished object. I hadn't realized before starting writing this post the embroidered piece was created two years ago. In the process I changed the idea of the rhombus for a square and in this way the work went very quickly. All the used materials were in my stash. 

Finally, I made three necklaces to wear either together or separately. If I survive this night, the rest ones will be posted next days.

Намисто "Львівській квадрат" 

Сьогодні у мене була можливість закінчити мій давно відкладений проект. Я і не усвідомлювала, до того як почала писати цей допис, що вишиту частину зробила ще два роки тому. В процесі я змінила ідею ромбу на квадрат і так робота пішла дуже швидко. Всі використані матеріали були у мене в запасах. 

Зрештою я зробила три намиста, які можна надягати або разом або окремо. Якщо сьогоднішню ніч переживу, решту розміщу тут наступними днями.

Before starting stringing the necklace, I had to remove wire loops in the corners of the embroidered piece. Surprisingly, it was very easy to do although I'd been sure the bricks could be hung on the loops so firmly they'd been glued. Instead I joined thread protectors in all four corners. 

Перед тим як починати нанизувати намисто, мені треба було витягти петлі з дроту на кутках вишитого ромбу, на диво це вдалося зробити дуже легко, хоча я була впевнена, що на них можна підвисити цеглини, настільки міцно я їх клеїла. Натомість на всі чотири кутки пришила протектори для ниток.

Iris Necklace and Earrings Set

 

Today the third day of summer. I made a new set of jewellery. I don't remember when its beading started as probably none of us noticed there was spring this year and I began my project on some day in spring, maybe in March or April. We are mostly focusing on the main things now, really main and important. Our life saving and our victory. To have joyful moments are as meaningful to survive. My set seems to be full of delight and brightness as well as plenty of flowers around now. For example, irises. A lot of them fill the hot southern air with their saturated astringent scent and triumphant beauty now. It cannot but inspire, can it? :-) 

Намисто і сережки "Ірис" 

Сьогодні третій день літа. Зробила новий набір прикрас. Не пам'ятаю коли почала плетіння, тому що мабуть жоден з нас цього року не помітив, що була весна, а  робота розпочалася якогось весняного дня, можливо десь у березні чи квітні. Ми зараз зосереджені на головних речах, справді головних і важливих. Збереженні життя і нашій перемозі. Дозволяти собі хвилини радості теж дуже вагомо для виживання. Мій набір, здається наповненим радістю і яскравістю так само як квіти, яких зараз навколо дуже багато. Наприклад, ірисів. Незліченна їх кількість наповнює спекотне південне повітря своїм насиченим терпким ароматом та тріумфальною красою. Це ж не може не надихати? 

The materials were prepared long ago the used pattern for the pendant and the earrings by Helena Tang-Lim from B&B August 2019. The pendant has more interesting rope in the magazine but I didn't have enough  seed beads for it as to make the earrings was more important for me.

Матеріали для набору були давно підготовлені, модель кулону і сережок від Helena Tang-Lim з B&B серпень 2019. В журналі кулон має цікавіший джгут, але у мене на нього бісеру не вистачило, оскільки зробити сережки було для мене важливіше.

Goldish Powder Set II

As it was mentioned in the previous post there were two sets of jewellery made of two packs of Preciosa glass pearls. The second of them consists of three items: a pair of earrings, and two necklaces, the short is about 37 cm long and the long one is about 135 cm. I also have an idea and the materials left enough to make at least one more necklace. The dress on the photo will have its own post a little later :-)

Набір прикрас "Золотистий пил" ІІ 

Як згадувалося в попередньому дописі, з двох упаковок скляних перлин Preciosa було зроблено два набори прикрас. Другий складається з трьох предметів: пари сережок і двох намист: короткого, довжиною біля 37 см і довгого - біля 135 см. Крім того, у мене є й ідея та достатньо матеріалів щоб зробити принаймні ще одне намисто. Сукня на фото отримає власний допис трохи згодом :-) 

The necklaces from both sets can worn together, what I am actually doing, or separately. The earrings can be replaced as well. 

Намиста з обох наборів можна носити всі разом, що я і роблю насправді, або окремо. Сережки також можна заміняти.

Goldish Powder Set I

 

There was nothing special about yesterday evening but in some mysterious way it inspired me to make two new sets of jewellery. The first of them was finished late at night.  It is a dainty, simple, and universal set consisting of a delicate necklace and a pair of dangle earrings. 

Набір прикрас "Золотистий пил" (І)

Вчорашній вечір не був особливим жодним чином, але у якійсь загадковий спосіб він мене надихнув на створення двох нових наборів прикрас. Перший з них закінчила пізно вночі. Це простий, елегантний і дуже універсальний комплект з делікатного намиста та сережок з підвісками. 

All of the items are made of the Preciosa beige glass pearls mix which I had two packs. To those pearls I added 4х6 mm crystal rondelles of the same hue and 10.0 Czech seed beads. 

Всі  складові комплекту були зроблені з суміші бежевих перлів Preciosa, яких у мене було дві упаковки. До тих перлин додала кришталеві ронделі 4х6 мм такого ж відтінку і чеський бісер №10.0.

Cranberry with Sugar Necklace (Final)

The necklace is ready and the outcome can't but make me joyful :-) I am also glad that it does match my last festive gown as choosing the colourstyle of the necessary beads for this piece of jewellery, I had that outfit on my mind. One more reason to be in a good mood is that the necklace is ready earlier than New Year's countdown starts :-) 

Намисто "Журавлина з цукром" 

Намисто готове і не можу не потішитися результатом:-) Також приємно, що намисто добре пасує до мого останнього вечірнього вбрання, оскільки обираючи необхідні намистини для цієї прикраси, я уявляла саме цю сукню. Ще одна причина для гарного настрою: намисто готове раніше ніж годинник починає бити дванадцяту  Новорічної ночі:-) 

The process of sewing all the elements together took me the whole day yesterday and it only goes about the final part. The previous step, making a bail and joining the rivolis and cabochon, happened a couple weeks ago. This kind of bail was, in fact, the only element in this necklace which I had never done before. I had some prejudice as for it but, after all, the designer was right with this choice and it looks well here. 

На процес зшивання всіх елементів до купи пішла вся вчорашня неділя і йдеться лише про фінальну частину. Попередній етап - з'єднання ріволі і кабошона та плетіння бейлу - відбувся пару тижнів тому. Фактично, виготовлення такого бейлу - єдиний елемент в цьому намисті, якого я раніше не робила. У мене було певне упередження щодо нього, але, зрештою, це дизайнерське рішення виявилося вдалим і  тут виглядає доречно. 

Joining the pipe beads was really time consuming and made me a little upset as some pearls, despite they are of good quality, were harmed. It made me think over their change for gems as it is in the original necklace. At the end I refused the idea as I like what I have a lot and forgot about those pearls' scratches:-)

З'єднання намистин трубочок не лише забрало багато часу а і засмутило мене трохи, оскільки деякі перлини, хоча вони і гарної якості, були пошкоджені. Це мене змусило замислитися про їхню заміну на напівдорогоцінне каміння, як це і є в оригінальному проекті. Проте від ідеї я відмовилася, оскільки мені подобається що у мене вийшло, а про ті подряпини на перлах я і забула:-)

Cranberry with Sugar Necklace III (Cabochon)

 

The third element of the Cranberry with Sugar Necklace is a beaded cabochon. It is not new work for me, too, as I have already made some my own models. I liked a quite reserved design of this sample. While bead-weaving, the instructions in the video tutorial were followed but I have a few remarks.

Намисто "Журавлина з цукром" ІІІ (Кабошон) 

Третій елемент намиста "Журавлина з цукром" - обплетений кабошон. Робота для мене теж не нова, я вже подібне виконувала і не раз, але власні моделі. Мені сподобався доволі стриманий дизайн цього зразка. Плела за інструкцією відео майстер класу, але маю декілька зауважень. 

Both notes concern the cabochon's decor. The author mentioned that to embroider the stone, the number of the seed beads must be even but to make the suggested decor in the last top row, there must be not just even number of the seed beads, it must be a multiply of four. To make the suggested decor in the last bottom row the number of the seed beads must be a multiply of three. Thus I made the corresponding decor only in the bottom row as it was easy to correct the number of the necessary seed beads. 

Обидва зауваження стосуються декору кабошону. Автор згадує, що для обшивання потрібна парна кількість бісерин, але для передбаченого декору останнього верхнього ряду, вона має бути не лише парна, а ще кратна чотирьом, а для передбаченого моделлю останнього нижнього ряду - кратна трьом. Тож я зробила відповідний декор лише для нижнього ряду, оскільки було легко змінити кількість бісерин.

Cranberry with Sugar Necklace II (Rivoli)

The second step of creating the necklace is bezelling rivoli. They are three here of different sizes. This work is not hard thing to do for me as I had beaded a lot of bezels before so the process took me a couple of evenings. It would have been even quicker if I hadn't had to change it a little. 

Намисто "Журавлина з цукром" ІІ (Ріволі) 

Другий етап виготовлення намиста - обплетення ріволі. Тут їх три різного розміру. Така робота для мене не важка, безелів я плела багато, тож процес завершився за пару вечорів. Було б ще швидше якби не довелося його трохи змінювати. 

First, the peyote base stripe was too wide and the ready bezel covered the crystal too much so I decreased the number of rows. Then I didn't like the last row of the bezel, it turned to be a little ruffled I am well with ruffles but I got them uneven and it looked not neat. So after few attempts the final variant looks like on the ticked photo. I hope this change won't make some troubles when I compile all the elements together.

По-перше, стрічка мозаїчної основи виявилася заширока і в готовому вигляді кристал був занадто закритий, тож зменшила кількість рядів. Потім мені не сподобався останній ряд безелю, бо він виявився трохи хвилястим. Проти таких рюшів я нічого не маю, але вони вийшли нерівномірні і це мало неохайний вигляд. Тож після декількох спроб кінцевий варіант виглядає як на фото (під галочкою). Cподіваюся, така зміна не створить незручностей, коли з'єднуватиму всі елементи докупи.
