Air Balloon Brooch

This weekend's mood was to embroider a new brooch. I chose Air Balloon Brooch from Charivna Myt. Probably, also my mood was to fly high and far :-) 

There is a lot of canetille work in this pattern so the work took me much more time than usual, three evenings instead of two. 

Брошка "Повітряна куля" 

Цими вихідними настрій був - вишити нову брошку. Обрала "Повітряну кулю" від "Чарівної миті". Мабуть, крім того, настрій ще і полетіти кудись високо і далеко :-) 

В цій моделі багато роботи з канітеллю, тому на вишивання пішло більше часу ніж зазвичай: три вечори замість двох.

Daisy Pillow

Today's project is a homedecor item, a pillow I refreshed using the remnants from my Tavria Skirt made two years ago. The old pillow case was worn entirely and had to be replaced. I was going to make that right after sewing the skirt but the right time cam only today :-) Now it looks even better than it was before. 

Подушка "Ромашки"

Сьогоднішній проєкт - це предмет домашнього декору, наволочка, яку я освіжила за допомогою залишків з пошиття моєї спідниці "Таврія". Стара наволочка повністю зносилася та потребувала заміни. Збиралася зробити це одразу після пошиття спідниці, але час настав лише зараз :-) Зараз подушка виглядає навіть краще ніж раніше.

The embroidered part is a cross-stitched piece I made several years ago when I was engaged in embroidering a lot. 

Вишита частина - це вишитий хрестиком мотив, втготовлений багато років тому коли я багато вишивала.

My Needlecrafts Video Review #9

Unexpectedly, I've got some news from my crafts room :-)The video is in Ukrainian. It tells about reviving an old bead embroidery project which will become a piece of decor some day, at least I hope for it. I'm also telling a little about my new dress and my matching the jewelry to complete the outfit. At the end a couple of words about cutting a new skirt of a kind of boucle fabric.

Palette Brooch

 

Yesterday evening at last I had a chance just to sit in front of TV near my Christmas tree and plunge into some simple and quick needlecrafs project. I chose for that bought long ago kit to make this Palette Brooch. It is quite colourful, and embroidered with simple materials.

Брошка "Палiтра"

Нарешті вчора ввечері отримала шанс просто посидити перед телевізором біля моєї різдвяної ялинки занурившись у простий і швидкий проект. Для цього я обрала виготовлення брошки "Палитра" за давно купленим набором від Чарівної Миті. Вона доволі барвиста і вишита простими матеріалами.

Having opened the box, I was quite disappointed with the colours of the pearls, packed in separate bags they looked dim and indistinct. But after sewing them on the felt, I changed my impression to the opposite. 

The  hardest part was to pull the wire through the bugle beads. First I recommend to cut the hole in the middle of the palette, before starting the embroidery.

The outcome looks playful and bright. 

Відкривши коробочку, була розчарована кольорами перлин, упаковані в окремі пакети вони виглядали невиразними і мутними. Але пришивши їх до фетру, змінила своє враження на цілком протилежне. Найважчим було - це протягнути дріт кріз стеклярус. Отвір в середині палітри рекомендую вирізати одразу ще перед початком вишивання.

Кінцевий результат виявився грайливим і яскравим.

Dresden Memories Pendant

 

Something switched in my head so after stringing Simple Shapes Necklace the process of renovating was postponed and I jumped to my ancient idea to make a pendant using the ticket to Zvinger Palace. I am not that sentimental and it is the only museum ticket I've ever saved but 10 years🙄! "The chance to see the city was very important for me... because of my [unreal childish] dream to visit the Dresden Gallery and see the Sistine Madonna. It was my second very sentimental moment during my trip and it's hard to explain what it meant for me: to come into the hall, stand there, in front of the picture, and admire." (I wrote this under one of the photos in my Dresden Album).

Щось у мене в голові перемкнулося тож після нанизування намиста "Прості форми" процес оновлення відклався і я перестрибнула до своєї давньої ідеї зробити кулон з квитка до Zvinger Palace. Я не така вже і сентиментальна, але цей музейний квиток у мене зберігався 10 років😳. Мабуть тому, що відвідування Дрездену та його знаменитої галереї і побачення з "Сикстинською Мадоною" було для мене чимось дуже значимим і з дитинства омріяним, таким що ніколи не могло трапитися, але відбулося.

The ticket was a little wrinkled, I ironed it but it didn't help, the only thing happened - its back side turned black🙄. Then I cut the piece of the ticket according to the cabochone's shape, glued it to the glass, then to the felt, and bezeled the cabochone with 11.0 Matsuno 2 cut seed beads, 15.0 Czech chalotte beads (I still have no idea what needle I need to work with them and beadweave with thread at once), and 11.0 Toho seed beads. The pallette was matched the picture's colour style. Hung on the chain.

Квиток трохи прим'явся, я його попрасувала, але це не допомогло, єдине, що змінилося - його зворотній бік почорнів🙄. Потім по формі кабошону вирізала фрагмент, приклеїла його до скла, потім до фетру, а потім вже обшила його бісером # 11.0 Matsuno 2 cut, 15.0 Czech chalotte (все ще так і не маю жодного уявлення яка потрібна голка, щоб з ним працювати і нанизую одразу лескою), та #11.0 Toho. Палітру підбирала до кольорової гами картини. Повісила на ланцюжок.

Linen Shirt Dress with Embroidered Details

 

The feature of this new dress is embroidered shoulder epaulettes. To make these details embroidered I was inspired by my Kaftan Dress  as wanted to use cross stitching decor for another garment after it was ready. The choice was made in favour of model #119 from Burda 4/2019 (or #6240A) as I'd already bought a piece of linen to make it and was going to sew the dress as quick as possible. It happened to become ready only now despite the hottest summer days and often power cuts. Thus I've got a great outcome anyway :-)

Лляна сукня-cорочка з вишитими елементами 

Визначна деталь цієї нової сукні - вишиті погони. Вишити ці деталі мене надихнула моя зелена сукня каптан, оскільки мені хотілося прикрасити вишивкою хрестиком ще якесь вбрання після її пошиття. Обрала модель 119 з Burda 4/2019 (або #6240A) оскільки я на той момент вже купила відріз льону на неї і збиралася  зробити її якнайшвидше. Так трапилося, що пошилася вона лише зараз, в найспекотніші дні літа та під час постійного знеструмлення. Тож в будь-якому разі все одно вийшло все добре :-)

The pockets are made without flaps as they are meant to be on the  part of the bust which I have prominent enough :-)

Кишені без клапанів, оскільки вони мали бути на частині бюста, яка у мене і так достатньо випукла :-)

My epaulettes are a little longer than by the model and obviously I omitted loopes to keep them on the spot so sewed them along the shoulder seam (white threa is basting).

Мої погони довші ніж за моделлю і, вочевидь, я відмовилася від петлі яка б утримувала їх на місці. Тож я їх пришила вздовж плечлвого шва (біла нитка - наметувальна).

I have an idea, materials and intention to make a jewellery set to match specially to this dress but until it's ready the Ukrainian Ornament Earrings and Magatama Bracelets are quite nice accessories here.

Є у мене ідея, матеріали і план зробити набір прикрас спеціально до цієї сукні, але поки вони не готові, гарними доповненнями стали сережки "Український візерунок" і браслети з магатами.

Wheat Spike Brooch

 

I've got a lot of work to do and I've got a lot of plans. The latter you can see on the photos on the left from which it's clear that om my table there are few sewing, and one crochet projects. I started them while we had rolling blackouts during last weeks after strikes on our electric power system. But today's Saturday is the one happening less or more regularly when I feel tired but under pressure of obligatory however unfinished work. As a rule, such kinds of days are over with nothing so, as I can't afford that, I decided to embroider a new brooch, a quick but cute accessory.

Брошка "Колосок" 

У мене багато роботи і багато планів. Останні можна побачити на фото ліворуч, з яких видно, що умене на столі декілька кравецьких і один проект плетіння гачком. Я їх започаткувала під час наших відключень світла на останніх тижнях після ударів по нашій енергосистемі. Але сьогоднішня субота - одна з тих, які трапляються більш менш регулярно, коли я почуваюся втомленою, але під тиском обов'язкової проте невиконаної роботи. Як правило, такі дні закінчуються нічим, тож, оскільки я не можу собі такого дозволити, я вирішила вишити нову брошку, швидкий і милий аксесуар.

Sun Brooch

 

A new project made with a kit from Charivna Myt, Sun Brooch. I haven't started work on it for quite long time as it seemed to be complex maybe because of its curvy sunbeams which edges are not easy to embroider on the final stage of work, however the problem is solved here. The edges are processed with cannetille and it looks neat and smart.

Брошка "Сонечко" 

Новий виріб за набором від "Чарівної миті" - брошка "Сонечко". Довго не починала вишивати її, бо вона здавалася мені якоюсь складною, мабуть через вигнуті промені чиї краї точно нелегко обшивати бісером на кінцевому етапі роботи, проте тут цю проблему вирішено, адже краї обшиваються канітеллю і це виглядає охайно і досить витончено.

When the moment of joining the embroidered layer, carboard and thin felt fabric came, the glue turned to be very liquid, the felt layers were soaked quickly with it, and at the time to sew around the edges the fabrics were so stiff that I couldn't sew the beads between the sunrays thus was happy to process the trims

Коли настав момент з'єднувати вишитий фетр, картон та тонкий фетр підкладки, виявилося, що клей, який на щастя був у мене в запасі, має рідку структуру і фетр дуже швидко ним просотався, а як дійшло до обшивання краю, він вже настільки затвердів що проткнути його тоненькою голкою для бісеру стало неможливо тож мені не вдалося пришити намистини між променями і я була рада, що змогла хоча б мінімально обшити краї - це вже було вдачею :-) 

Penguin Brooch

 

As soon as I wrote the name of a new brooch, in the Facebook stream they started to show a plenty of reports from Antarctica about penguins.  I don't mind, the bird is cute and unique. My brooch made by kit from Charivna Myt is as cute and funny. This penguin is certainly charismatic. At first I also thought it is going to dance but now I see him a little sassy and ready to defend his rights :-)

Брошка "Пінгвін"

Щойно я написала назву нової брошки, стрічка Фейсбуку почала видавати повідомлення з Антарктики про пінгвінів. Я не проти, пташка мила і унікальна. Моя брошка зроблена за набором від "Чарівної миті" така ж мила. Цей пінгвін точно харизматичний. Спочатку мені також здалося, що він збирається танцювати, але зараз я напевно бачу, що він трохи нахабний і готовий захищати свої права :-)

Dolphins Brooch

So, are you ready for sea voyage? I am. Actually, it means that being overwhelmed with memories and emotions, I yielded the temptation and bought a few brooch kits from Charivna Myt again. And more than that, one of them is already ready although they've been delivered only this week. This time it's so gorgeous, chic, and sparkling that deserves to be defined not just plain Dolphins but Baroque Style Dolphins  :-) 

Брошка "Дельфіни" 

Ну що, готові до морської подорожі? Я точно готова, хоча насправді це лише означає, що переповнена спогадами та емоціями, я поступилася спокусі та знову купила декілька наборів для виготовлення брошок від "Чарівної миті". Більш того, одна з них вже готова, хоча доставка була лише цього тижня. Цього разу вона така яскрава, сяюча і чарівна, що одразу видно, що не просто якісь звичайні "Дельфіни", а "Дельфіни в стилі бароко" :-) 

Embroidering the brooch took me two evenings and today the full compiling, which usually takes no more than about an hour, took half a day. I guess it because the beading of the edges happened to be troublesome. As it clear from the photos both of the outlines, inner and outer, are quite winding and, probably, I had to cut less inside to make the process easier. On the other hand, as it is it looks better.

На вишивання брошки пішло два вечори, а сьогодні, щоб все зібрати до купи, витратила ще пів дня, хоча зазвичай на це іде плюс-мінус година. Думаю тому, що обшивка країв була проблематична: як видно з фото обидва контури, і зовнішній і внутрішній,  доволі звивисті і, мабуть, щоб полегшити собі роботу, варто було менше вирізати всередині, хоча так як є виглядає краще. 

Blue Roses Embroidered Blouse, Outcome

 

The story of the blouse started in 2019, stopped in 2020 and unexpectedly went on this week. I was profoundly inspired by this year's Vyshyvanka's Day in Ukraine and thought that three years are enough for my finished embroidery to wait to become a part of a garment :-) Actually, the work was not completed earlier not only because that moment I didn't have mouline thread to finish the cross stitching, I bought it later, but also as after trying the blouse on, I was disappointed with the look and the fitting of the item, I did decide not to finish it despite of being sorry about my painstaking work. However this year enthusiastic celebration during the war made the Day extremely meaningful so I changed my mind, opened the bag with the project and the blouse was ready in a day. It required some efforts to get it the way I could wear the garment but here it is and despite not being 100% satisfied with the fitting, I am happy with the outcome and me having it on. 

On the photos the blouse is paired with Flared trousers #103 from Burda 9/2019, old jeans (I'll add the model later, don't remember now from what issue), and I also thought it would look funny with  skirt #104 from Burda 05/2018 although these models have nothing in common. Surprisingly, the best earrings among those I have turned to be Danube Delta, the necklace - CRAW rope.

Вишита Блузка "Блакитні Троянди". Результат

Історія роботи над блузкою почалася 2019 року, зупинилася у 2020 та несподівано продовжилася цього тижня. Мене серйозно надихнув цьогорічний День Вишиванки і я подумала, що три роки для моєї завершеної вишивки достатньо чекати, щоб стати частиною вбрання :-) Насправді, роботу тоді не було завершено не лише тому, що у мене на той момент закінчилося муліне для вишивання, згодом я його докупила, але також тому, що примірявши блузку, я була дуже розчарована тим як виглядала та сиділа на мені ця річ, тож справді вирішила її не дошивати, хоча мені страшенно шкода було моєї кропіткої роботи. Проте цього року настільки завзяте святкування серед війни зробило День Вишиванки таким значимим, що я передумала, відкрила пакет з проектом, і блузка була за день готова. Щоб це вбрання можна було одягнути, довелося докласти певних зусиль і незважаючи на те, що я не задоволена посадкою на 100%, радію результату та своєму настрою в цій блузці. 

На фото блузку скомбіновано зі штанами 103 з Burda 9/2019, старими джинсами (додам модель пізніше, зараз не пам'ятаю з якого числа журналу), також подумала, що весело виглядатиме зі спідницею 104 з Burda 05/2018, хоча нічого спільного в цих моделях немає. На диво, найкращими сережками до вбрання виявилась пара "Дельта Дунаю",  намисто - прямокутний джгут.

The facing processed in a usual way but top stitched by the facing along the front edge of the neck hole (1) and for 3 cm along the back edge of the neck hole(2). 

Обшивка оброблена у звичайний спосіб, але відстрочена по обшивці вздовж переднього краю горловину (1) та на 3 см вздовж краю горловини спинки (2).

At the  moment of the first trying on three years ago the blouse was not comfortable. I didn't like the pattern at once, I had to adjust some checked pattern to use for the sewing but as it was made together with embroidery, I decided to work with the original. Besides, I have two more patterns from the same designers so wanted to know their quality. Since then I gained not less than 5 kg so I did need to modify the pattern even more and I cut the side panels to widen the blouse.  

На момент першої примірки три роки тому, блузка була незручною. Викрійка мені одразу не сподобалася, варто було пристосувати для пошиття якусь перевірену викрійку, але, оскільки вона була з вишивкою, вирішила працювати з оригіналом. Крім того, маю ще дві викрійки тих самих дизайнерів, тож хотіла знати їхню якість. З того часу я набрала не менше 5 кг ваги, тому викрійка ще більше потребувала змін, отже для розширення блузки я докроїла бочки. 

The sleeve turned to be wide enough for my new armholes, however not deep enough for good fitting and, when I tried it on, looked as if twisted.  I had to cut deeper caps of the sleeves to fix that defect (1). The blouse also surely needed bust darts, which the pattern doesn't have, but I only could add them  of the cross stitched part, so it was out of question and, as the blouse got loose, I am ok with that. The sleeves are hemmed with rolled up cuffs (2). 

Рукав виявився достатньо широкий для моїх нових пройм, проте недостатньо глибокий для гарної посадки і виглядав на примірці наче перекручений. Щоб позбутися цього дефекту, вирізала глибші окати рукавів (1). Також модель точно потребувала виточок, непередбачених викрійкою, проте зробити їх треба було з вишитої частини, а це - поза обговоренням, і, оскільки блузка стала вільного крою, мені так теж ok. Низ рукавів оброблений відворотами (2).

Grapes Brooch

 

I embroidered plenty of brooches from Charivna Myt, counted 20 of them by #label. This Grapes Brooch was from the last kit I had but, unfortunately or fortunately, was not up to make it after the Iris item was finished. I love its idea, its colour style and the ready piece which is awesome indeed. 

Брошка "Виноград" 

Я вишила багато брошок від "Чарівної Миті", за #маркуванням нарахувала 20. Ця брошка "Виноград" була з останнього набору який у мене залишався, але, на нещастя чи на щастя, руки до нього не доходили з часу закінчення роботи над "Ірисом". Я в захваті і від ідеї, і від кольорової гами та від готового виробу, який насправді чудовий. 

I followed the instructions, changed nothing but added two 6х4 мм crystals and one 4 mm pearl in the centre of the piece because it seemed to be too empty. 

Все робила за інструкцією, нічого не міняла, але додала два кристали 6х4 мм і одну перлину 4 мм в центрі виробу, тому що він здався занадто пустим.

Two Projects

 

I have two long stories about these projects but as both of them are time consuming and the terms of their finishing are quite vague, I just post them here to say I am alive as well as my diary of a needlecrafter :-) 

Маю дві довгі історії про ці проекти, але оскільки вони обидва займуть багато часу і терміни закінчення роботи над ними доволі непевні, цей допис лише заради того, щоб повідомити, що я жива так само як і мій щоденник рукотворниці :-)

Lvivsky Square Earrings

 

Having beaded the set of the necklaces, I decided not to postpone earrings making to pair the set. They are really a statement piece. I don't know if I wear them together with the necklaces but as a separate item, they look gorgeous.

Сережки "Львівській квадрат" 

Нанизавши набір намист, вирішила не відкладати виготовлення сережок в пару до цього набору. Сережки вийшли дуже виразні, справді привертають увагу. Не знаю, чи носитиму я їх як частину набору, але як окремий аксесуар, вони виглядають прекрасно.

Lvivsky Square Necklace I

 

Today I had a chance to finish my, in fact UFO, unfinished object. I hadn't realized before starting writing this post the embroidered piece was created two years ago. In the process I changed the idea of the rhombus for a square and in this way the work went very quickly. All the used materials were in my stash. 

Finally, I made three necklaces to wear either together or separately. If I survive this night, the rest ones will be posted next days.

Намисто "Львівській квадрат" 

Сьогодні у мене була можливість закінчити мій давно відкладений проект. Я і не усвідомлювала, до того як почала писати цей допис, що вишиту частину зробила ще два роки тому. В процесі я змінила ідею ромбу на квадрат і так робота пішла дуже швидко. Всі використані матеріали були у мене в запасах. 

Зрештою я зробила три намиста, які можна надягати або разом або окремо. Якщо сьогоднішню ніч переживу, решту розміщу тут наступними днями.

Before starting stringing the necklace, I had to remove wire loops in the corners of the embroidered piece. Surprisingly, it was very easy to do although I'd been sure the bricks could be hung on the loops so firmly they'd been glued. Instead I joined thread protectors in all four corners. 

Перед тим як починати нанизувати намисто, мені треба було витягти петлі з дроту на кутках вишитого ромбу, на диво це вдалося зробити дуже легко, хоча я була впевнена, що на них можна підвисити цеглини, настільки міцно я їх клеїла. Натомість на всі чотири кутки пришила протектори для ниток.

Iris Brooch

 

The last brooch made as a present this year is this Iris Brooch. It is very decorative and ornate, and seems to belong to a baroque style:-) A burst of colour among winter that cannot but attract attention. I liked it because of plenty of both light and dark as well as matte and shining lilac hues, and variety of the used materials including 15.0 seed beads, twin, and pip beads. The rhinestone chain adds it delicacy. My friend chose it herself and it is clear she wasn't mistaken :-). The  brooch is very beautiful indeed!

Брошка "Ірис"

Остання брошка створена в подарунок цього року - цей "Ірис". Вона дуже декоративна і нарядна, здається належить до стилю бароко:-) Вибух кольору серед зими який не може не привернути увагу. Мені вона сподобалася через велику кількість світлих і темних, матових і сяючих бузкових відтінків, а ще розмаїттям використаних матеріалів включно з бісером №15, твінами та "pip" намистинами. Ланцюжок зі стразами додає виробу витонченості. Моя подруга сама її обрала і, як бачимо, не помилилася:-) Брошка справді дуже гарна!

The main trouble here was a lot of work with French wires and the piece of it made me think it would be not enough for all those petals' curves so it was stretched more than I had done it before. The outcome is worth of  those efforts:-)

Головною проблемою тут було багато роботи з канителлю її відрізок якось примушував думати, що її буде не достатньо для вигинів усіх цих пелюсток тож довелося розтягувати її більше ніж робила це раніше. Результат вартий тих зусиль:-)

Orchid Brooch

 

I've embroidered quite a lot of brooches to have favourites. This one is undoubtedly one of them and it is fabulous indeed by its colour style, materials, and design, of course. There are 19 kinds of materials including seed beads 15.0, the proper needle is in the kit as well. As soon as I came across this Orchid, I knew it would be made for my friend who is a great fan of these flowers and has been growing them for many years. Besides, what is very important when one gives handmade presents, she also enjoys wearing my brooches :-)

Брошка "Орхідея" 

Вишила я брошок достатньо, щоб мати улюблениць. Без сумніву ця - одна з них і вона надзвичайно гарна і cвоєю кольоровою гамою і за підібраними матеріалами і, звісно ж, за дизайном. Матеріалів багато, 19 видів. В наборі є мілкий бісер, №15, тут також можна "Чарівну мить" похвалити, адже і тоненькою голкою відповідно до цього бісеру забезпечили. Щойно я на цю "Орхідею" натрапила, знала, що зроблю її для своєї подруги, яка є фанатом цих квітів  і вирощує їх багато років. Крім того, що дуже важливо, коли даруєш власноруч зроблені подарунки, їй також подобається носити мої брошки :-)

As there are a lot of very different materials, the embroidering took me two evenings but the outcome is magic:-)

Оскільки матеріалів багато, на вишивання пішло два вечори, але результат - казковий:-)

Ornament Brooch

 

After decorating Christmas tree, it is the very time to decorate myself a little:-) To make this Ornament Brooch seemed to be a nice idea to do that. My expectations were not deceived as the brooch is bright, sparkling, and looks entirely in tune with the season. It also matches well my Festive earrings which are worn quite actively all the year round.

Брошка "Різдвяна прикраса" 

Нарядивши різдвяну ялинку, настає саме час трохи прикрасити і себе:-) Зробити цю брошку "Прикрасу" видалося для цього вдалою ідеєю. Мої очікування були виправдані, оскільки брошка виявилася яскравою, сяючою і цілком у фарватері свята. Також вона гарно пасує до моїх "Cвяткових сережок", які активно носяться круглий рік. 

The brooch contains 17 kinds of materials, thus it is the richest among all those ones made by Charivna Myt kits. Unfortunately, I spoiled one of them, a short piece of soft french wires which I used first time here and failed, so replaced it with a piece of the stiff. I also added more seed beads to embroider the tree branches. For the final processing of the edges at first wanted to use two colours of seed beads, yellow for the ornament and green for the tree, but then changed my mind as green seed beads are very bright so would dominate too much. 

Брошка налічує 17 видів матеріалів, тож це найбагатша з усіх, які зроблені за наборами від "Чарівної миті". На жаль, один з них, маленький відрізок м'якої канителі, який мені трапився вперше і безуспішно, я зіпсувала, тож замінила його на відрізок жорсткої. Також додала більше бісерин для вишивки гілочок. Для кінцевої обробки країв спочатку хотіла використати два кольори бісеру: жовтий для прикраси і зелений для дерева, але потім передумала, оскільки зелений бісер дуже яскравий і став би занадто домінуючим.

Titmouse Brooch

If to dig very deep into  our Ukrainian mythology, one can learn that the calendar of winter holidays starts here on December 4 but I have no idea if anybody really keeps the ancient tradition. So mostly we start celebrations from St. Nicholas day, December 19, when in the morning kids of all ages find presents from the saint under their pillows. I still come upon, too, a couple of oranges but in my boots mainly:-) This year I also decided I want my Christmas tree earlier and invited my cousin with her family to decorate and celebrate. The time passed quickly and pleasantly. For my cousin I prepared a small present, this Titmouse Brooch made by a kit from  Charivna Myt. 

Брошка "Синичка" 

Якщо глибоко копатися в нашій український міфології, то можна дізнатися, що календар зимових свят тут починається 4 грудня, але насправді я не маю жодного уявлення чи хтось дотримується такої стародавньої традиції. Тож переважно ми починаємо святкування з дня Св. Миколая, 19 грудня, коли вранці діти будь якого віку знаходять під подушкою дарунки від святого. Я теж все ще відшукую пару апельсинів, але, здебільшого, в чоботах:-) Крім того, цього року я вирішила, що хочу раніше встановити ялинку і запросила мою сестру з родиною прикрашати і святкувати. Час минув швидко і приємно. Для сестри я приготувала маленький подарунок, цю брошку "Синичка", зроблену з набору від "Чарівної миті". 

There is no much to tell about the process of work as I just followed the chart which is included into the kit. There is only one note: two  kinds of materials were entangled but that wasn't a problem. I enjoyed both the process of making and the outcome. 

Про процес виготовлення особливо немає чого розповідати, все робила за схемою. Єдине зауваження: два види матеріалів були переплутані, але це не стало проблемою. Мені сподобався і процес роботи і результат.

Pearl in the Shell Brooch

 

Pearls and shells are quite popular motifs, or symbols when talking about a sea. For example, one of our cities has the nickname Pearl at the Sea, it is Odesa, a beautiful place not so far from mine. One more known for everybody who has ever had a rest in Chornomorsk pearl is a small sculpture in their park along the coast. I saw it last summer while spending few days there. I guess these facts are enough to be inspired to make a brooch with the same motif.

Брошка "Мушля з перлиною" 

Мотиви, чи то символи перлини і мушлі доволі популярні, коли ведеться розмова про море. Наприклад, всі ми знаємо місто з призвіськом "Перлина у моря", в якому багато хто з нас буває влітку. Ще одна відома всім хто колись відпочивав у Черноморську перлина - це маленька скульптура в їхньму парку уздовж моря. Я її побачила минулого літа, коли проводила там декілька днів відпустки. Думаю цих фактів достатньо, щоб надихнутися на створення брошки з таким самим мотивом.

As it is not my first brooch by Charivna Myt kits, the work wasn't hard but there is a certain embarrassing moment. On the middle photo of the brooch, I marked with red the spots where any seed beads but 15.0 could be placed. The bugle in the middle also was too long so I replaced it with a cut bead. Without sewing them on, the black drawings of the scheme look as if the piece is dirty. I have such beads but not everybody does. The ready brooch is beautiful and looks elegant. 

Оскільки це не перша моя брошка з набору "Чарівної миті", робота була нескладна, але був один трохи обтяжливий момент. На середньому фото брошки червоним відмітила місця, де жодну бісерину крім №15.0 пришити не можна. Стеклярус по середині теж був задовгий, тому замінила його на рубку. Не пришивати всі ці бісерини не можна, тому що на тих пустотах залишалися мітки схеми, які створювали враження, що виріб брудний. У мене такий бісер є, але ж не у всіх. Готова брошка красива і виглядає елегантно.
