Crepe Georgette April Blouse

 

The blouse sewing story is long and could be divided into three posts if I had made three blouses that's why I'll describe the essential not to forget in the end what happened in the beginning :-) So in search of inspiration last year I came across such thing as Instagram challenge about which I knew from one of YouTube vlogs. It's called #SewAprilBlouse, happens every year and I was inspired enough to participate. My following steps were Instagram registration, choosing the fabric corresponding the theme, cataloguing all my blouse patterns to make the choice of the model easy and cutting this model #104 from Burda 1/2023. By that moment it was the 2nd of May, the challenge was over, the prizes were delivered, my profile in Instagram froze so I packed the blouse in the bag and put away its sewing for the indefinite time. When this year the same challenge #SewAprilBlouse24 has started again, it became clear I have a chance if not to take part in it, but, at least, to use this reason to finish sewing the blouse. The work was ready on the 1st of May, the challenge was over but this time I do have a prize - my new blouse :-)

 

By the way, the green skirt was meant to pair this very blouse but is happier as I sewed it in January and wore in a cold season. The outfit is completed with Goldish Powder Sets and Geometry Ring.

Квітнева Блузка з креп жоржету 

Історія пошиття цієї блузки довга: можна було б розтягнути на три дописи, якби я зробила три нових блузки, тож опишу головне, щоб в кінці допису не забути з чого все почалося :-) Отже, в пошуках натхнення минулого року натрапила я на таке явище як челендж в Instagram, про який дізналася з одного з швейних влогів на YouTube. Називається він #SewAprilBlouse, повторюється щороку і надихнулася я взяти в ньому участь. Послідовність зроблених кроків була такою: зареєструвалася на Instagram, перебрала всі відрізи тканини годні для такої теми, зробила каталог наявних у мене викрійок блузок, щоб легше було обирати модель і покроїла цю модель 104 з Burda 1/2023. На цей момент вже настало 2 травня, челендж закінчився, призи роздали, профіль в Instagram замерз, тож я склала покроєну блузку в пакет і відклала її пошиття на невизначений термін. Коли цього року знову стартував той самий челендж #SewAprilBlouse24, я зрозуміла, що це мій шанс, якщо і не взяти в ньому участь, то принаймні скористатися нагодою та закінчити пошиття блузки. Роботу я закінчила 1 травня: челендж закінчився але цього разу я все ж таки з призом - а саме з новою блузкою :-)

 

До речі, зелена спідниця була задумана спеціально до цієї блузки, проте їй більше пощастило - пошила її цього січня і одягала весь холодний сезон. 

Прикрасила вбрання набором "Золотистий пил" та геометричною каблучкою.

One of the reasons to postpone the sewing was my partial disappointment with the fabric that turned to be more transparent than I had expected and when trying the blouse on, its colour seemed much paler than it really is. I got upset enough to lose the interest but this year I  thought the colour is just very delicate and used for a voluminous blouse would look nice anyway. 

Однією з причин відкладеного пошиття було моє часткове розчарування тим, що  тканина виявилася більш прозора ніж я очікувала, а при примірці її колір здався  блідішим ніж він є насправді. Засмутилася я достатньо, щоб втратити цікавість, проте цього року я подумала, що колір просто дуже ніжний і використаний для об'ємної блузки  виглядатиме гарно за будь якого випадку.
