My blog's main subjects are sewing, the thing in which I am experienced the most, and beadwork, which is, in fact, pushed me into blogging. I am also engaged in knitting and crocheting. All together they are the set of skills which I use to make my wardrobe my whole life. These are not my only interests, I also like the English language (that's one of the reasons that my blog is bilingual), try to travel around my country and abroad (when can afford it), am interested in art (to the degree of a dilettante but nevertheless) and adore the people who can create anything beautiful or useful whatever it is :-) So welcome to a needlecrafter diary!
My imagination cherishes few images of England. This post is devoted to the first one - historical, quite solid, created by old (and not very) architecture, cruel Shakespearean dramas, Dickens's and Gaskell's novels, a thin book History of England, Conan Doyle's detectives, numerous photos and stories about their traditions and habits - and all that is covered with English mist and packed in a dark frame entwined with red roses:-)) But as it was once mentioned, stereotypes are not always so bad especially for dreaming and inspiring. So the choice of the colours for this necklace is absolutely justified. This image is red and grey...
Намисто "Імла і троянда":-)
Моя уява плекає декілька образів Англії. Цей допис присвячений першому з них - історичному. Він має досить солідне підґрунтя, створене старою ( і не дуже) архітектурою, жорстокими шекспірівськими драмами, романами Діккенса та Гаскелл, тоненькою книжкою "Історія Англії", детективами Конан Дойла, численними фото та розповідями про їхні традиції та звичаї - все це вкрито англійським туманом і втиснуте в темну рамку оповиту червоними трояндами:-)) Як я вже казала, стереотипи - це не так вже і погано, особливо для мрій і натхнення. Отже вибір кольорів для мого нового намиста цілком виправданий. Червоний і сірий...
How to is very simple. I used 6.0 grey seed beads, dark grey farfalle seed beads and 8 mm red crystals. The alternation of the beads is well-seen on the photo (click to enlarge). As the crystals are pretty big, I guess, it is not worthy making the spiral too dense.
The ready length of the necklace is 110 cm.

Зробити дуже просто. Мені знадобився сірий бісер №6, бісер фарфаллє темно-сірого кольору і червоні кристали 8 мм. Розподіл намистин видно на фото. Оскільки кристали досить великі, то надто щільну спіраль, як на мій смак, робити не варто.
Готова довжина намиста - 110 см. МК для нанизування такої спіралі тут .
