About Me
- Oksana Starzhynska
- My blog's main subjects are sewing, the thing in which I am experienced the most, and beadwork, which is, in fact, pushed me into blogging. I am also engaged in knitting and crocheting. All together they are the set of skills which I use to make my wardrobe my whole life. These are not my only interests, I also like the English language (that's one of the reasons that my blog is bilingual), try to travel around my country and abroad (when can afford it), am interested in art (to the degree of a dilettante but nevertheless) and adore the people who can create anything beautiful or useful whatever it is :-) So welcome to a needlecrafter diary!

It Seems to Wink CRAW Rope
I can't say I'm looking for simple ideas... they find me themselves:-)) At least when it goes about this necklace:-) I just was watching this tutorial and, as it recommends to start the training CRAW with big beads, then took the blue crystals I had and followed the instructions.
The used crystals are good enough for the training but their shape isn't suitable for beading the real wearable rope because the thread is too well-seen. However, my wish to use the acquired skill on the spot became irreversible and so I decided to add the matching seed beads to alternate the crystals. I must say at once I tried to get two seed beads, three and four between the crystals. The three seemed to be the best variant for me.
And in this way I beaded all the 100 crystals I had and got 10 cm rope. What to do next I thought not long as had made a sample of the seed beads only as well. And that was the design decision - to make a combined necklace from crystal and seed beads parts of CRAW rope.
To assemble the necklace I used jewelry wire and then sewed all the parts to make them keep the shape of the necklace, added the clasp and took pictures:-)

Жгут похожий на змейку... Особенно там, где застежка...
ReplyDeleteТак, мені теж чомусь так здалося, хоча він прямокутний, а форма змії округла. Дякую.
