A new project made with a kit from Charivna Myt, Sun Brooch. I haven't started work on it for quite long time as it seemed to be complex maybe because of its curvy sunbeams which edges are not easy to embroider on the final stage of work, however the problem is solved here. The edges are processed with cannetille and it looks neat and smart.

Новий виріб за набором від "Чарівної миті" - брошка "Сонечко". Довго не починала вишивати її, бо вона здавалася мені якоюсь складною, мабуть через вигнуті промені чиї краї точно нелегко обшивати бісером на кінцевому етапі роботи, проте тут цю проблему вирішено, адже краї обшиваються канітеллю і це виглядає охайно і досить витончено.
When the moment of joining the embroidered layer, carboard and thin felt fabric came, the glue turned to be very liquid, the felt layers were soaked quickly with it, and at the time to sew around the edges the fabrics were so stiff that I couldn't sew the beads between the sunrays thus was happy to process the trims
Коли настав момент з'єднувати вишитий фетр, картон та тонкий фетр підкладки, виявилося, що клей, який на щастя був у мене в запасі, має рідку структуру і фетр дуже швидко ним просотався, а як дійшло до обшивання краю, він вже настільки затвердів що проткнути його тоненькою голкою для бісеру стало неможливо тож мені не вдалося пришити намистини між променями і я була рада, що змогла хоча б мінімально обшити краї - це вже було вдачею :-)
The idea to use bright fabrics to sew garments for cold seasons always sounds attractive for me, for example, as it is here, the dense jacquard with busy ornate print purchased specially to sew this skirt 5B,C from Burda Easy A/W 2017 because, despite my rather too big stash, I had found nothing matching the pattern. The skirt caught my eye from the first sight so I used to buy PDF pattern on our Ukrainian Burdastyle site. The design is simple, it's a straight, a little narrowed to the bottom skirt with a frill. Nothing special if not a zipper in the centre of the front thus not having a zipper of one of the print's colours, it's not even worth to start cutting :-)

Мене завжди приваблює ідея використання строкатих тканини для пошиття речей для холодної пори року, як, наприклад, в даному випадку щільного жакарду з яскравим візерунком. Придбала його для пошиття саме спідниці 5B, C з Burda Easy Осінь/Зима 2017, бо, незважаючи на свій радше завеликий запас тканин, нічого, щоб мені підійшло для пошиття такої моделі, в ньому не знайшлося. Спідниця мені одразу сподобалася, тож колись і викрійку PDF купила на нашому сайті. Дизайн простий: пряма ледь звужена до низу спідниця з оборкою. Нічого особливого, якби не блискавка по середині переду, тож не маючи блискавки одного з кольорів візерунку, не варто і кроїти :-)
After sewing the zipper, the rest of work is quick and easy. The only problem with such a zipper it can unzip itself while wearing the garment so must be under control.
Після вшивання блискавки решта робота проста і швидка. Єдина проблема з такою застібкою, вона може розходитися сама собою поки спідниця носиться тож треба тримати її під контролем.
The model in the magazine is made of stretch fabric, mine is not so to provide the right fitting I widened every detail for 3 cm. After trying the skirt on, it turned out to be to much and 1,5 cm of them were cut off. However, around the waist it still was wide and I surely had to narrow the skirt along the waist line for a couple more cm but, unfortunately, it got clear only when the skirt was ready.
I also cut a single detail with a fold for the back and instead of a seam in the centre, just stitched along the fold forming the dart.
Модель в журналі зроблена з тканини з еластаном, моя - ні, тож, щоб забезпечити гарну посадку, кожну деталь розширила на 3 см. Примірявши спідницю, виявила, що це занадто і 1,5 см з них довелося зрізати. Проте навколо талії це було недостатньо, і мені по лінії талії треба було зрізати більше. На жаль, це стало зрозуміло лише як спідниця була готова.
Також задню частину викроїла як одну деталь зі згином і просто вздовж згину прострочила формуючи виточку.
I have enough photos to tell few words about the blouse #127B from Burda 5/2012 made specially to match the skirt from the previous post. I am glad with the choice of the pattern. The blouse doesn't look as loose in the magazine as I got it, maybe because I sewed it of viscose crepe georgette, the fabric with great draping instead of more structured material in the issue. It was a quick sewing as well because of simple pattern without tricky lines, edges or whatever.

Маю достатньо фото, щоб декілька слів сказати про блузку 127В з Burda 5/2012 пошитою спеціально до спідниці з попереднього допису. Я задоволена вибором моделі. В журналі блузка не виглядає такою вільною як вийшла у мене, можливо, тому, що пошила її з віскозного креп-жоржету, тканини яка добре драпірується на відміну від більш структурованого матеріалу в журналі. Пошиття також було швидке, тому що модель немає жодних загадкових чи складних ліній крою.
The sewing was according to the instruction. I was truly happy with the processing of the collar, it is the simplest possible way to make it thus it was so quick.
Пошиття за інструкцією. Найбільше порадувала обробка коміру, тут це передбачено в найпростіший спосіб, тому і пошиття було швидким.
I guess white accessories would be a good match but decided to complete the garment with pink bracelet and earrings without contrasting.
Думаю, що білі аксесуари були б гарним доповненням до вбрання, але вирішила закінчити його рожевим браслетом і сережками без усякого контрасту.
This skirt #125 from Burda 5/2012 was meant to be sewed since I purchased the magazine but I couldn't decide what fabric I'd like to use as it had to be made of light stretch material good to wear in summer. Finally, after purchasing 4 m of thin textured denim a few years ago, I made my mind to sew trousers, this skirt and also have an idea to make a kind of classic denim jacket from the rest of this pink fabric. The trousers were made last summer, the skirt was ready in autumn, and I planned to take photo of me in it when the jacket is sewed. However, having tried on the garment these days, I decided there is no sense to postpone the photo session as right now I can wear control top tights under the skirt to have it zipped on me, but hardly will do it in summer:-)

Цю спідницю 125 з Burda 5/2012 я планувала пошити з часів купівлі журналу, але щось ніяк не могла вирішити, з якої тканини я собі її уявляю, адже вона мала бути з легкої тканини з еластаном годної для носіння влітку. Зрештою, придбавши декілька років тому 4 м тонкого фактурного джинсу, я одразу подумала, що пошию з нього штани, цю спідницю та ще хочеться більш менш класичного джинсового крою жакетик. Штани вже є, спідницю пошила ще восени і думала фотографуватися коли вже і жакет буде готовий, проте примірявши її минулого тижня, вирішила, що фотосесію немає куди відкладати, бо зараз можу під спідницю одягнути утягуючи колготки, щоб вона таки застібнулася, але навряд чи буду робити це влітку :-)
The fabric is easy to work with so the sewing was quick and went by the instruction. The only thing I added - top stitched the top edge facing.
З такою тканиною працювати легко, тож пошиття було швидким і йшло за інструкцією. Єдине, що я додала - відстрочила обшивку верхнього краю.
I don't know if the skirt fits me in summer but really like the design, it suits my style and pair well with blouse made specially to match this skirt.
Не знаю чи влізу я в спідницю влітку, але мені справді подобається її крій, вона точно вписується в мій стиль і добре комбінується з блузкою пошитою спеціально до цієї спідниці.
If it is possible to say, I am a fan of Alize Yarn channel on YouTube, at least a subscriber :-) It's on the simple reason that their yarn is available and affordable for me to buy here. The brand's designers and knitters are very creative, and despite their tutorials are in Turkish, using the subtitles and charts it is not hard to follow the demonstration. I am fond of plenty of their models but as soon as I saw this Knit Patchwork Sweater, I ordered the yarn at once and after getting the parcel started knitting without a moment of procrastination.

Якщо можна так сказати, я фанатка каналу Alize на YouTube, принаймні, підписниця :-) Причина цього дуже проста - ця пряжа доступна для мене тут і по наявності асортименту і по грошах. Дизайнери фірми дуже творчі люди і, незважаючи на те, що їхні майстер класи турецькою, використовуючи субтитри і схеми, не так і важко слідкувати за демонстрацію. Мені подобаються багато їхніх моделей, але щойно я побачила цей плетений клаптиковий светр, одразу замовила пряжу і, отримавши посилку, без жодних зволікань стала до роботи.
I ordered yarn exactly of the same colours and after the motifs were ready joined them exactly in the same way as they are in the video. The only things I changed, I added a couple of rows to every patch to get a bit longer waistcoat.
Я замовила точно такі кольори пряжі і, як мотиви були готові, з'єднала їх так само як у відео. Єдине, що я змінила, я додала пару рядків до кожного "клаптику", щоб жилет вийшов трохи довший.
The waistcoat is very comfortable, soft, warm, and cozy. It was knitted quite quick. In the photos the waistcoat is paired with a green skirt, white blouse and decorated with Bee Brooch.
Жилет дуже зручний, м'який, теплий та затишний. Сплела його доволі швидко. На фото жилет скомбінований з зеленою спідницею, білою блузкою та прикрасила брошкою "Бджілка".
As soon as I wrote the name of a new brooch, in the Facebook stream they started to show a plenty of reports from Antarctica about penguins. I don't mind, the bird is cute and unique. My brooch made by kit from Charivna Myt is as cute and funny. This penguin is certainly charismatic. At first I also thought it is going to dance but now I see him a little sassy and ready to defend his rights :-)
Брошка "Пінгвін"
Щойно я написала назву нової брошки, стрічка Фейсбуку почала видавати повідомлення з Антарктики про пінгвінів. Я не проти, пташка мила і унікальна. Моя брошка зроблена за набором від "Чарівної миті" така ж мила. Цей пінгвін точно харизматичний. Спочатку мені також здалося, що він збирається танцювати, але зараз я напевно бачу, що він трохи нахабний і готовий захищати свої права :-)
Sweatshirt is certainly not my kind of clothes. Despite their popularity they don't suit anybody. However tall slim girls and kids can wear them safely without asking themselves how badly they look having a sweatshirt on. It never occurred to me to sew it but few years ago one nice lady gave me several pieces of fabrics as a gift and one of those pieces was warm dense knits which obviously was meant to be a sweatshirt by its origin and vocation so I went with the flow and gave a chance to this kind of garment. The fabrics texture is very unusual, at least I haven't seen anything like that before. On the stockinette surface of the fabric's right side there is ornate pattern created with brown fluffy fiber thread. On the wrong side of the fabric this thread is so fluffy that looks like faux fur. The thought that my sewing machine wouldn't stich three layers of this fabric crossed my mind from the first touch (finally, it stitched four after breaking three needles including two overlock's :-)) But the model for my sewing had to be moderately loose, with normal length of sleeves and the chance to tuck this "shirt" into a skirt or trousers on occasion. I have no idea how these conditions concern sweatshirts but at last I was ready to sew it :-) About that moment I discovered Tiana's Closet site, a new for me source of inspiration and free patterns, and chose there a model Bailey. Thus sewing also had to help me to define if the designers patterns would work for my figure. It looks like they do but it worth trying more :-)

Світшоти - це точно не мій вид одягу. Незважаючи на їхню популярність, вони нікому не пасують. Проте високі струнки жінки або юнки можуть таке безпечно одягати, оскільки це категорії дівчат, які можуть не задаватися питанням наскільки погано вони в цьому виглядають. Мені ніколи не спадало на думку таке шити, але роки три-чотири тому одна мила пані подарувала мені декілька відрізів тканини, одним з яких був щільний теплий трикотаж з якого я одразу вирішила пошити щось на кшталт світшоту, тому що тканина саме для цього очевидно і призначалася за визначенням. Текстура тканини справді незвичайна, принаймні, я такого раніше ніколи не зустрічала. На трикотажній поверхні панчишної в'язки молочного кольору утворений витіюватий контрастний візерунок пухнастою ниткою, зі зворотного боку ця нитка настільки пухнаста, що схожа на штучне хутро. Я одразу подумала, що моя машинка в три шари таку нитку не візьме (зрештою, з трьома зламаними голками, однією на звичайній машинці і двома на оверлоку, взяла чотири:-). Але, звісно, модель мала бути помірного об'єму, з нормальної довжини рукавами і можливістю, при нагоді, заправляти цю "кофту" в спідницю або штани. Не знаю, як ці ознаки взагалі стосуються світшотів, але я такі дозріла до пошиття:-) Модель Bailey вибрала на сайті Tiana's Closet, новому для мене джерелу натхнення та безкоштовних викрійок, тож пошиття мало мені також допомогти визначитися наскільки викрійки дизайнера мені підходять. Здається, підходять, але варто спробувати ще :-)
The fabric was wider than 180 cm so 1 m 10 cm was enough for the sewing. I didn't make bottom band to wear the sweater both tucked and untucked. If you already glanced at the model, you see that my sleeves are less gathered than on the site, maybe because my fabric is really very dense and thick. In general, I guess the fitting of the sweater is great having in mind my bust cup G and the absence of darts.
Тканина була дуже широка, більше 180 см, тому 1 м 10 см вистачило для пошиття. Нижньої планки я не робила, щоб носити светр і заправленим і ні. Якщо ви вже кинули оком на модель на сайті, то побачили, що мої рукава не мають такої вираженої зборки по окату, можливо через товщину і щільність тканини. На загал, переконана, що посадка светра пречудова зважаючи на мою чашку G та відсутність виточок.
The model is supposed to have cuffs, neck and hem band cut from ribs but I didn't have that material so cut the details from the same fabric. The neck band is bias cut, the cuffs are cut along the selvage.
As Home Wear, the sweater is put on together with the trousers made last year but for the photo cession I was wearing it with the skirt and Hibiscus necklace and in this way it looks not bad as well.
По моделі передбачається, що планки горловини, низу та манжети крояться з рубчику, але у мене такого матеріалу не було, тож покроїла все з однієї тканини. Планку горловини - навскіс, а манжети вздовж кромок.
Светр в якості домашнього одягу одягається зі штанцями пошитими минулого року, але на фотосесію я одягнула його зі спідницею та намистом "Гібіскус" і теж виглядає непогано.
