Crocuses' Time Earrings

I am glad I was pretty creative yesterday and made a couple of nice earrings for my Crocus Necklace. The fact that I had some elements left from the necklace helped much as well :-)
The earrings are made of two elements, how to make a beaded bead, which I mentioned in the previous project. The second element is a ring made of crystals and seed beads. It seems to remind a snowflake, not the flower... but sometimes in spring flowers grow from under the snow, don't they? :-)

Сережки "Час крокусів"

Вчора була досить працьовитою і зробила сережки до мого намиста. Добре, що залишились елементи з попереднього проекту - це дуже прискорило процес:-)
Сережки зроблені з двох частин: перша — це та сама бісерна намистина, що й для намиста, а друга — кільце з кристалів та бісеру. Здається, воно більше нагадує сніжинку, а не квітку… Але ж іноді   навесні квіти виростають з під снігу, чи не так?:-)

All that I used for making the earrings. Start with making an element with a beaded bead; it is easy, I already can do that:-)



Все, що знадобиться для роботи. Починаємо зі зборки елементу з намистиною. Це просто - це я вже вмію робити :-)

Now string the crystals and the seed beads on the thread ( fishing line is used here). Then join in the ring. To be sure it is tight, the ends of the tread can be tied a couple of times. Then thread through all the components around one more time to reinforce the ring.



Далі - нанизуємо кристалики та бісер на волосінь. А потім з'єднуємо  в кільце. Можна зав'язати пару вузлів, щоб бути впевненою, що воно міцно тримається в купі. Потім ще раз протягнути волосінь крізь всі компоненти для зміцнення кільця.

Now, between the crystals, make a "picot". It means to thread three seed beads and then sew them with the back stitch to the ring, pulling the thread through 1 seed bead, 1 crystal and 1 next seed bead. Then, to reinforce the element, repeat it but without adding the seed beads, just through the picot.


Тепер між кристалами робимо "пікo", тобто замикаємо по три бісерини в кільце і швом "назад голку" пришиваємо до кільця: протягуємо нитку крізь 1 бісерину, 1 кристал і крізь  наступну бісерину. Сподіваюсь, по фото зрозуміло. Потім, щоб зміцнити елемент, повторюємо все те саме, тільки вже без додавання бісеру, а просто протягуємо волосінь крізь "піко".

Loop making. String seven ( like here) seed beads and pull the thread twice through the low seed beads of the "picot" and the seed bead between the crystals. One time make it with the working end of the thread and one time with the other. Before tightening the ends, pull the latter one through all the crystals of the ring. Tighten the knot twice, hide the ends and cut the left thread.

Тепер - петля. Нанизуємо сім (якщо, як у мене) бісерин на волосінь і протягуємо  її двічі по колу через нижні бісерини "піко" та бісерину між кристалами. Один раз робимо це робочим кінцем волосіні, а другий - іншим. Потім, перед закріпленням, також проводимо цей кінець крізь кільце кристалів. Зв'язуємо кінці волосіні двічі, ховаємо їх і обрізаємо залишки.

Join all the elements and get the earrings.




Все з'єднуємо і отримуємо сережки.

And the best moment - put on the set and look at us, the nice girls, in the mirror. Happy wearing! :-)




Найприємніша частина - вдягаємо весь комплект і дивимося на себе, гарних, у дзеркало. Ох, і пощастило нам з такими прикрасами:-)
