I made this tunic so quick that have no photos of the sewing process. My first idea was to create a dress of this beautiful, gentle broderie anglaise as I had about 2.5 m of this fabric. Unfortunately, it was, probably, the end of the bolt so the piece has a lot of defects thus I decided to sew a tunic. The ideal pattern for my kind of fabric is #102 Burda 2/2016.
Туніка з тканини з прошвою
Я пошила цю туніку так швидко, що жодного фото процесу пошиття не встигла зробити. Спочатку я збиралася пошити сукню з цієї гарної ніжної тканини, бо у мене її було майже 2,5 м. На жаль, цей відріз, скоріш за все, кінець рулону і мав багато дефектів, тож вирішила зробити туніку.
The ideal pattern for my kind of fabric is #102 Burda 2/2016. I lengthened the sleeves to have them long and omitted the cut in the centre of the front neckhole.

Today I share my new piece of clothes with great pleasure because I do enjoy both sewing and wearing this gorgeous skirt which I made of floral print denim by pattern #6235. I didn't sew many denim outfits. In fact, I can recall only few of them, more or less classic black jeans and a skirt and pink ones as well made in the recent years. This time I used thin slightly stretched floral denim. The outcome met my expectations entirely!

Джинсова спідниця з паском
Зі справжнім захопленням ділюся сьогодні моїм новим доповненням до гардеробу, тому що і шити і носити цю мою чудову спідницю, пошиту з заквітчаного джинсу по моделі Burda #6235 - справжнє задоволення. Я не багато шила речей з джинсу, насправді можу згадати лише декілька, пошиті останніми роками: більш чи менш класичні чорні джинси та спідницю та ще рожеві. Цього разу використала тонеький трохи еластичний джинс квіточками. Результат цілком виправдав мої очікування!

The pattern and the fabric are meant to be together :-) Nothing was changed in the model, I only refused from the slit in the centre front as I think it is not comfortable when wearing the garment. I also didn't cut the front piece by the centre line, just fold the detail and top stitched it.
Модель і тканина створені одне для одного :-) Нічого в викрійці не міняла, лише відмовилася від розрізу по центру переду, тому що вважаю його незручним для носіння вбрання. Також я не розрізала передню деталь по центру, просто склала та відстрочила оздоблювальною строчкою вздовж краю.
Thanking to the print, the skirt is paired well with different tops. In these photos, it's combined with my new pink top. I also made a couple more variants which I'm going to share in the next posts.
Завдяки візерунку, спідниця добре поєднується з різними топами. На цих фото, вона зкомбінована з моїм рожевим топом. Я також пошила ще декфлька варіантів, які планую показати в наступних дописах.
This pattern caught my eye because of its darts' position. I consider them to be the best for good fitting. Unfourtunately, this time I was mistaken and the fitting is not good at all. The back of the top fits even worse than the front as, despite my usual adjustments, I've got so much bulging in the centre and it looks awful so the top is more or less decently wearable only tucked in the skirt. The fabric is very nice, it is dense textured viscose jersey that has not much stretching. I'd rather say it matched perfectly for making a dress but, as I had not a big piece, I thought the idea of a top is as attractive.
Рожевий топ з вирізом мисом
Ця модель привабила мене положенням виточек, які я вважаю найкращими для забезпечення гарної посадки. На жаль, цього разу я помилилася і посадка зовсім така собі. Спинка топу виглядає ще гірше ніж перед, бо, незважаючи на всі мої звичайні зміни, по центру спинки утворився великий мішок і виглядає це жахливо, тож топ можна одягати лише заправленим в спідницю. Тканина дуже гарна; це не дуже еластичний, щільний, текстурований віскозний трикотаж. Я б сказала, що він добре підійшов би для пошиття сукні, але оскільки відріз у мене був невеликий, то ідея топу видалася достатньо привабливою.
Model #137 from Burda 7/2013 in the magazine is made of pink jersey, too, so it was easy to imagine how the top would look in real. And if to forget about my fitting failure, I would be happy with the outcome :-)
When the top was almost ready, the neckhole turned to be too deep for me. To solve this problem, instead of the interfacing I processed the neckhole with a band which I cut using the interfacing detals. In details I'm telling about this problem in this video (it's in Ukrainian).
В журналі модель 137 з Burda 7/2013 теж пошита з рожевого трикотажу, тож було нважко уявити як вона виглядатиме в реальному житті. І, якщо забути про мій провал з посадкою, мене б результат ощасливив :-)
Коли топ був готовтй, виявилося, що виріз горловини занадто глибокий для мене, щоб вирішити цю проблему замість обшивки я обробила виріз бейкою, яку покроїла за викрійкою обшивки. Докладно про цю проблему я розповідаю в цьому відео.
The top is comfortable to wear when the temperature outside is not higher than +25/26 C degrees above zero. In the photos I am wearing the garment with Pink Flared Trousers and a new skirt which I am going to represent in the next post; а pendant and earrings.
Топ найкраще носити при температурі не вище +25/26 градусів. На фото топ одягнутий в комбінації з рожевими штанами-кльош та спідницею, про яку збираюся розповідати в наступному дописі; кулоном і сережками.
I'd planned making this dress for probably 3 or 4 years but then sewed it for few hours :-) It happened so quickly and easily that I almost took no photos of the process and have not much to say about it as well. I can't say I'm impressed a lot how I look in this dress as it's a bit too romantic comparing with me, but I certainly enjoy the fabric, the pattern and the outcome, and share my emotions with you gladly :-)
Бузкова сукня з віскози в стилі ампір
Планувала шити цю сукню років 4-5, а потім пошила лише за декілька годин :-) Відбулося це так швидко, що майже не зробила фото самого процесу та так само і особливо не маю що про нього розповісти. Не можу сказати, що мене аж так сильно вражає мій вигляд у цій сукні, бо я набагато менш романтичніша за це вбрання, але я точно в захваті від тканини, моделі і того що у мене вийшло і з радістю ділюся своїми емоціями з вами:-)
The fabric is viscose crepe, very beautiful and of great quality, it flows over the body perfectly despite being quite dense. There was the brand's name on the selvege and I wanted to google it, as the piece was purchased in a stock store, but couldn't find that very remnants so gave up. As for me, the choice of the pattern is the best as demonstrates the quality of the fabric in the best way. The zipper is omitted. The sleeves are lengthened for about 3-2 cm.
I like all the options of pattern Burda #6685 so hope to have a chance to sew the rest of them one day.

Тканина - віскозний креп, дуже гарна і високої якості, прекрасно струмує по тілу хоча доволі щільна. На одній з кромок була назва бренду, хотіла погуглити, оскільки купувала відріз в стоковій крамниці, але потім не знайшла саме той клаптик та і здалася. Як на мене, вибір моделі якнайкраще демонструє якості тканини. Блискавку не вшивала. Рукави подовжила на 2-3 см.
Мені подобаються всі варіанти цієї викрійки Burda 6685, тож сподіваюся колись всі їх і пошити.
