Blue Roses Embroidered Blouse. Progress.

The second post devoted to the progress of the work on this embroidered blouse. Its first post is dated by September 19. It is a progress, isn't it ? :-) 

Вишита блузка "Блакитні троянди"

Другий допис присвячений роботі над цією вишитою блузкою. Перший датований 19 вересня. Це взагалі можна назвати прогресом у роботі? :-) 

I finished embroidering the front part of the blouse. 

Закінчила вишивати передню частину блузки. 

To make the process of removing the waste canvas's threads easier, I cut it in few spots. 

Щоб спростити процес видалення ниток канви, я її розрізала в декількох місцях. 

After removing the threads and pressing the piece looks like this. When the next post will be is unknown because the necessary mouline thread is almost over and it is not enough either for the sleeves or belt. But in the way as it is now, it looks beautiful anyway:-)

Після видалення ниток і прасування виглядає це так. Коли буде наступний допис, поки що невідомо, тому  що у мене майже закінчилися потрібні нитки: не вистачить ані на рукави, ані на пояс. Але так теж гарно :-)

Houndstooth Dress, or Unclear Choice

I have been sewing for myself for about forty years but, as far as I remember, such a funny choice of the pattern happened the very first time.  The idea of purchasing the fabric was to make a warm dress for work. Not once it was mentioned here that I've been buying  materials only for certain projects for probably last 20 years even if I sew them much later than imply. This time was not an exception. I bought the fabric for dress #102 from Burda 12/2019 (now I've noted it here:-)). But when the time to trace the pattern came and I looked through the magazines in search of the pattern, as I surely don't remember exactly where any of them is, and examining the first in the pile issue, I saw this dress and thought why don't to make it. Yeah... really, why not? Thus the choice was made. I still don't understand how could it be as I had no intention to sew this model at all and I even didn't like the dress before!

 

Any of my brooches are good accessories for this dress :-)

Сукня у "гусячі лапки", або Незрозумілий вибір 

Я шию собі одяг вже майже сорок років, але такий кумедний випадок з вибором моделі трапився чи не вперше. Тканина купувалася для пошиття теплої сукні для роботи і вже не один раз тут згадувалося, що купую я тканини лише для певних проектів навіть якщо вони шиються набагато пізніше ніж малося на увазі. Цей раз не став винятком. Тканину придбала для пошиття моделі 102 з Burda 12/2019 (тепер я це вже виписала, щоб запам'ятати:-)). Але, коли настав час перезнімати викрійку і я переглядала журнали у пошуках моделі, авжеж я не пам'ятаю точно, де яка з них знаходиться, роздивляючись перше число у стосі, побачила цю сукню і подумала, чому б її не пошити. А і справді... чому б ні? Ось так вибір і був зроблений. Досі не розумію, як це могло трапитися, адже я ніколи не мала жодного наміру шити цю сукню і вона раніше мені навіть не подобалася! 

Будь яка з моїх брошок - гарне доповнення до сукні :-) 

Шарф сплетений гачком за цим зразком.

The dress #109 from Burda 10/2019 has a special shape of the skirt, they call it "bell". As my fabric is very dense and thick jersey, it promises to keep the shape. I am curious about such skirts as I saw few models with them but wan't sure if  it fits me. Made in this fabric it looks and fits well. The silhouette of the out fit is quite loose, the waist is raised a little but much fitting is easy to get with a simple belt.  Generally I like this universal model excellent both for work and walk. 

Сукня #109 з Burda 10/2019 має спідницю особливої форми, яку вони назвали "дзвін". Оскільки моя тканина - це товстий щільний трикотаж, то форма має триматися добре. Мене такі спідниці давно цікавили, бачила декілька моделей з ними, але не була певна, чи мені таке пасуватиме. Зроблена з такої тканини вона і виглядає і сидить добре. Силует сукні доволі просторий, талія трохи завищена, але суттєве прилягання легко досягається звичайним ремінцем. Загалом мені подобається ця універсальна модель  і для роботи і для неробства.

While sewing I followed the instruction. The pleats were stitched. 

Шила за інструкцією. Складки настрочила.

To avoid stretching of the centre back seam, before sewing the zipper the seams allowances were reinforced. 

Щоб уникнути розтягування середнього шва спинки, перед тим як вшивати блискавку припуски  на шви зміцнила.

The main changes concerned the lining. Firstly, I refused from the pleat on the skirt. The width on the bottom wasn't changed but on the waist I excluded the width of the pleat. So I got the new side line. 

Головні зміни стосувалися підкладки. По-перше, відмовилася від складки. Ширина по низу залишилася незмінною, а по талії ширину складки було вилучено, так накреслила нову лінію боку.

Secondly, the instruction suggests to sew the lining armholes together with the dress's and then stitch the sleeves. It is a quick and neat way. But the main fabric and the lining, as a rule, behave differently while being washed or ironed and steamed. It means one of the fabrics can shrink more than the other so the dress can lose its good quality, and it happened with one of my outfits. That's why I sewed the sleeves, processed the lining's armholes with bias binding and then joined the lining. 

По-друге, інструкція пропонує зшити підкладку з сукнею по проймам і потім вшивати рукави. Але головна тканина і підкладочна, як правило, поводяться по різному під час прання, прасування та відпарювання. Це означає, що одна з тканин може дати більшу усадку ніж інша і вбрання втратить товарний вигляд, як це якось і трапилося з однією з моїх суконь. Тому я спочатку вшила рукави, потім обробила пройми підкладки косими бейками і потім вже пришила підкладку.

If to join the lining in this way, it can be stitched on the sewing machine along the zipper allowance. 

Якщо приєднувати підкладку таким чином, уздовж блискавки її можна пришити на машинці.

All the hems are sewed with slip stitches. 

Всі підгинки пришиті потайним стібком.

Charivna Myt Brooches

Here I made a list of all the brooches made by Charivna Myt kits. The posts contain my impressions and notes about every piece. It is my first experience of brooches embroidering and working with kits. Gathered necessary materials and the patterns make the process much easier and, the most important, none should buy the piles of the beads to use a couple and then to think where and why to keep the limitless rest. On the other  hand, if, like me, you have some own stash, it helps improvise to replace or add the beads. Not all the brooches were enjoyment to make but I guess I'll find the chance to wear every one.

Тут з зробила перелік всіх брошок виготовлених з наборів від "Чарівної Миті". В дописах мої враження та зауваження щодо кожної з них. Це мій перший досвід вишивання брошок і роботи з готовими наборами. Вже підібрані матеріали в необхідній кількості і готові схеми дуже спрощують роботу і, головне, не треба купувати цілу купу намистин, щоб використати пару штук, а потім вигадувати куди і навіщо складати нескінченні залишки. З іншого боку, якщо, як у мене, у вас є певний власний запас матеріалів, можна імпровізувати з заміщенням або доповненням намистин. Не всі брошки мені однаково сподобалися в роботі, але нагоду надягнути, думаю, знайду для кожної.

Sea Star Brooch

The last brooch from the list of 12 "Charivna Myt"'s kits I've bought this year. In the next post I am going to make a short catalogue of them to generalize the experience and to think if I want to go on with purchasing some more. I am glad this Sea Star became the last as it turned out to be as good as it could be. Actually, stars are rarely disappointing, they are too unattainable for that :-) 

Брошка "Морська Зірка" 

Остання брошка з переліку з 12 наборів від "Чарівної миті", які я придбала цього року. В наступному дописі збираюся скласти коротенький каталог, щоб узагальнити досвід і подумати, чи хочеться мені купувати їх ще. Рада що ця "Морська Зірка" стала останньою, оскільки вона виявилася настільки гарною, наскільки могла б. Взагалі, зірки рідко розчаровують: вони для цього занадто недосяжні :-) 

The brooch is quite massive and heavy because of beads #5 and it is a little bigger than it is noted on the box. I liked the beads #7 (multicoloured faceted). I'll probably buy some for making other kinds of jewellery. After finishing embroidering by the pattern there was a lot of empty space among the beads so I filled it with the seed beads of the corresponding colours.

Брошка доволі масивна і важка через намистини №5 і більша ніж зазначено на упаковці. Мені спдобалися намистини №7 (різнокольорові грановані). Я, можливо, куплю таких для виготовлення інших видів прикрас. По закінченню вишивки за схемою між намистинами залишилося багато пустого місця тож я заповнила його бісером відповідних кольорів.
