Decorative Belt Skirt

 

One day I suddenly wanted a new skirt and the model #116A from Burda 10/2022 (also PDF #5868) caught my eye, or maybe it happened vise-versa :-) The skirt has a simple shape and a gorgeous decorative belt which, actually, caused my choice. Besides, instead of one side seam, the garment has two side seams creating a kind of lampasse. This universal laconic shape is easy to modify, for example, my skirt is 10 cm longer than the original as this length is more comfortable for me to wear. Also I suppose as another variant, the side detail would look well in contrasting colour with other choice of fabric and the purpose of the item. The fabric for making this model must be quite stiff to keep the shape. I can't help saying that last several weeks were not the best time to sew because of constant outages but in the moments when the Internet didn't work and at the same time electricity was on, needlecraft turned out to be a good doing to be productive. 

To pair with the skirt I matched three different blouses: a green bow-tie (model #128 from Burda 10/2011, Burda Easy #6026 is the same), a creamy ruffled  model #102  from Burda 9/2010 and a red blouse #122 from Burda 10/2013 (a kind of Christmas tune:-)). When looking into the mirror, I liked all the variants in their way but now in the pictures the first combination seems to be the best. The matched jewellery are Festive Earrings and Tubular Net Necklace.

Спідниця з декоративним ремінцем

Одного дня мене раптом закортілося нової спідниці і я кинула оком на модель 116А з Burda 10/2022 (також PDF #5868). Можливо, це трапилося і навпаки :-) Спідниця має просту форму і дуже гарний декоративний ремінь, який і зумовив мій вибір. Крім того, замість одного бокового шва, спідниця має два, які створюють щось на зразок лампасу. У спідниці універсальний лаконічний крій, який легко модифікувати, наприклад, моя сідниця на десять см довша за оригінальну, тому що для мене така довжина комфортніша. Також, як ще один варіант, бокову деталь можна зробити контрастного кольору, за умови вибору іншої тканини та призначення спідниці. Тканина для цієї моделі має бути жорсткою, щоб тримала форму. Не можу оминути увагою те, що останні декілька тижнів були не кращим часом для рукотворів через постійні вимкнення електрики, але в ті моменти, коли не працював інтернет, а світло все ж таки вмикали, виявилося, що саме в пошитті можу бути доволі продуктивною. 

До спідниці підібрала три різні блузки: зелену з коміром-бантом (модель 128 з Burda 2011, також Burda Easy 6026), кремову зі шлярками (модель 102 з Burda 9/2010), та червону 122 з Burda 10/2013 (такий собі різдвяний мотив :-)) Поки дивилася в дзеркало, всі варіанти подобалися на свій лад, а зараз перша комбінація видається найкращою. Прикраси: Сітчастий джгут з наповнювачем та Святкові сережки. 

As soon as the buckle and the belt is ready, the rest of sewing takes no time. 

Щойно пряжка і ремінь готові, пошиття спідниці не займає багато часу. 

I already covered the buckle with fabric for one of my coats so this time it went quicker but the buckle a little narrower than it should meant to be. Buttons were covered when the skirt was ready. 

Я вже обтягувала пряжку тканиною для одного з моїх пальт, тож цього разу процес пришвидшився, але пряжка у мене трохи вужча ніж має бути. Ґудзики обтягнула, коли спідниця вже була готова. 

Loops to hang a skirt is mostly a must for me to make.

Петлі для того щоб повішати спідницю, для мене переважно обов'язкові до виконання. 

That's all in fact. Since yesterday morning I only put the skirt off when going to bed. I do like it :-) 

Осі і все. З учорашнього ранку спідницю знімала лише як лягала спати. Вона мені справді подобається :-)

Asymmetric Pleats Dress

 

Having finished the work on this garment and looking at myself having it on in the mirror, I felt the kind of sincere girlish joy. The face as if lightened and shone with a smile, and at once I recalled my former traditional autumn funs in my calendar, purchasing summer fabrics in Idea huge sale (the biggest fabric store in our city) and a theatre season opening. Discounts for the precious meters of future projects mean the fabric haul bought mainly on the grounds of "want and like" instead of "why and how many else". These latter questions arouse only when coming back home with a colourful pile to embody your dreams, you try to cram at least a couple of pieces into the shelf, which has been overflowing for many years already, because under the polyethylene film on the floor the third row had appeared and after new addition of fabric the window will be covered up in a while. Thanking to such a last year sale I had this viscose staple that matched perfectly the dress #110 from Burda 9/2022. And despite this year sales are out of question, we are glad our stores are open in general, after all it will be OK with that, I yet visited a theatre. Equipped in the shelter a tiny audience hall continues treat our city's inhabitants souls with so necessary now art. In spite of whatever. So, all  at once everything happened :-) 

I didn't make any special jewellery, from what I have two pairs of earrings matched best of all, Uncertain Mood and Berries & Berries.

Сукня з асиметричними складками

Закінчивши роботу над сукнею і роздивляючись себе в ній в дзеркало, відчула якусь безпосередню дівчачу радість: обличчя наче прояснилося, засяяло посмішкою і одразу згадалися колишні традиційні осінні розваги в моєму календарі - скуповування літніх тканин під час скажених знижок в "Ідеї" і відкриття театрального сезону. Знижки на дорогоцінні метри майбутніх проектів - це купа відрізів куплених переважно за принципом "хочу і подобається", а питання "навіщо і скільки можна" якщо і виникають, то лише, коли повертаєшся додому з барвистим стосом для втілення мрій і намагаєшся втулити хоча б пару  відрізів на полицю шафи, в яку вже багато років нічого не влазить, бо на підлозі під плівкою вже пішов третій ряд і чергове поповнення тканин ось-ось почне затуляти вікно. Саме з такого минулорічного розпродажу лежав і цей штапель, який надзвичайно вдало поєднався з моделлю сукні 110 з Burda 9/2022. І хоча цього року про знижки не йдеться - радіємо, що крамниці взагалі працюють, але то таке - з часом налагодиться,  в театрі я того тижня побувала: обладнана в укритті сцена і маленька глядацька зала в одному з них продовжують лікувати душі містян таким необхідним зараз мистецтвом. Попри все. Тож, заразом, все склалося :-)

Спеціальні прикраси не робила, серед тих, які є - найліпше пасують до сукні дві пари сережок: "Непевний настрій" та "Ягоди та ягідки".

The feature creating the garments's style is those armhole figure plackets. Although they are recommended to be cut parallelly, I cut them symmetrically as they are not symmetrical either in length or width. So I though if I follow the magazine's arrangement, I can cut them for only one armhole. Even if I am not right, it is better to be certain not make a mistake here. 

Деталь, яка визначає стиль цього вбрання - це фігурні планки пройм. Хоча рекомендовано кроїти їх паралельно, покроїла їх симетрично, тому що вони не симетричні ані в довжину, ані по ширині. Тож я подумала, що при раскладці як в журналі, обидві деталі будуть на одну пройму. Навіть якщо я тут і неправа, в такому випадку краще перестрахуватися.

I don't think top stitching looks cheap or badly or whatever as it is popular to say now. Top stitching is separate skill that needs much practice to make that stitching "sing". Besides, I like it because I am always think how the clothes look after washing and how easy it is being ironed so mostly I top stitch my items but this time I made that by the facings of the details just because wanted that:-) 

Я не вважаю, що оздоблювальні шви виглядають дешево чи погано чи ще там якось, як зараз зараз вже неодноразово чула. Оздоблювальні строчки - це окремий вид навички і щоб така строчка "співала", треба дуже багато практикуватися. Крім того, мені це подобається, тому що я завжди думаю, як виглядатиме виріб після прання і наскільки легко його буде прасувати, тому переважно відстрочую мої вироби. Проте цього разу всі строчки проклала по нижніх деталях, просто так захотілося.

The cuffs processing is usual.

If autumn mood can be something else but melancholy, it is exactly the what I've got after making this dress. Love the result indeed! 

Якщо осінній настрій може бути ще якимось крім меланхолійного, то саме його я отримала, пошивши цю сукню. Справді в захваті від результату!

Tie Collar Jersey Dress

 

The dress was made probably more than a month ago but the post wasn't written on unexplainable reasons so I decided it is my last chance, either I do it or don't try anymore. The dress is simple as all the things, with the only exception, I've sewed since March. There is nothing special to say about the inspiration either as the garment was made mainly because of curiosity. The dress could be called my first item made from Burda Special Lyublyu Shyty issues (originally, Danish models), before I only made a beret from one of them. The most attractive feature of this dress #108 from Lyublyu Shyty 3/2019 is its tie collar. I must admit the pattern is ideal, especially for beginners, as there are no gatherings or other technological tricks, all the details, including the cups of sleeves and collar, have the same length by joining seams. The dress is quite plain, what is not typically for me, but comfortable, I can work in it, then went shopping or for water, then lie on the sofa, and the garment will still look fine :-)

Трикотажна сукня з коміром краваткою

Сукню пошила вже, мабуть, більше місяця тому. Щось допис не складається, але вже якщо зараз не зроблю, то вже не буду більше і намагатися. Сукня проста, як і всі речі, за єдиним виключенням, які я пошила починаючи з березня. Про натхнення теж особливо немає що сказати, бо сукню шила переважно з цікавості. Це можна сказати мій перший виріб з серії випусків Burda Special "Люблю шити" (моделі данського походження), раніше з цього видання я пошила лише берет. В цій моделі 108 з "Люблю шити" 3/2019 мені, безумовно сподобався комір, який переходить в краватку. Також маю відмітити, що викрійка, особливо для початківців, ідеальна: жодних тобі призборювань і технологічних викрутасів - всі деталі, включно з окатами рукавів і коміром, по лініям з'єднання мають однакову довжину. Сукня вийшла непримітна, що для мене не дуже типово, але комфортна: раптом що, то в ній можна попрацювати, потім сходити до крамниці чи по воду, а потім і на дивані повалятися - вбрання свого вигляду не втратить:-)

           The sewing is quick. 

1.Shoulder, arm and neck holes edges are reinforces with interfacing stripes.

2.Sewing the facing. 

3.Joining the collar.

4.My half rings are less then the model requires but it is good.

5.I made the dress of jersey but as the fabric is seen, I also made a kind of under dress of viscose lining using the same pattern. 

Пошиття швидке.

1.Плечові зрізи, краї пройм та горловини зміцнила смужками з прокладки.

2.Пришиваємо обшивку.

3.Пришиваємо комір.

4.Напів кільця у мене менші ніж треба за моделлю, але це добре.

5.Сукня пошита з тонкого трикотажу, тож за тією самою викрійкою я пошила таку собі підсукню зі звичайної підкладкової віскози.

I had enough patience not to wear the dress before writing about it, so, finally, am going to put it on the nearest days :-) 

У мене вистачило терпіння не одягати сукню до того, як напишу про неї, тож, нарешті, збираюся одягнути її найближчими днями:-)

Vintage Check Skirt

The skirt was made in July but the post writing was postponed all the time as I was going to make a couple of new blouses to pair with it. Just in case I wouldn't make any of those planned blouse, I paired it with a Pleated top to take photos before the summer ended :-) I knew it matches but was prone to the combining the skirt with a narrower garment. Finally, a couple of weeks ago I wore it with what I had to go to the centre of Mykolaiv, the first time during last seven months. The skirt suited both the occasion and the season so my joy to go around Soborna Street, which was partly ruined by cruise missiles in few days after that, was so full that what I was wearing had no meaning at all. I and my cousin whose family didn't leave the city either spent really good time on that Saturday. Several stores worked so we pretended to do shopping, took some photos, and then had a delicious lunch in a pleasant cafe. Such simple things... primitive things but when I am just writing about them now my eyes are getting wet. We did feel alive as well as our suffering but unconquered place. 

Knitted jacket made by #dropsdesign pattern long ago. Accessories are one of my first beading items Fogs & Roses Necklace and Earrings, and later Red Drops earrings.

Спідниця ретро в клітинку 

Спідницю пошила ще в липні, але написання допису все відкладалося через мої плани колись пошити щонайменше дві нові блузки в пару до неї. Лише про всяк випадок, раптом я ті заплановані блузки не пошию, скомбінувала спідницю з топом з горизонтальними складками, щоб сфотографувати поки літо не закінчилося :-) Знаю, що вони пасують, але схилялася до комбінації з більш вузьким верхом. Зрештою, пару тижнів тому я одягнула її з чим було, щоб вирушити в центр Миколаєва перший раз за останні сім місяців. Спідниця була і по погоді і по нагоді, тож моя радість, поки гуляла Соборною, яка за декілька днів зазнала руйнувань балістичними ракетами, була настільки повною, що в чому я була тоді одягнута, взагалі не мало жодного значення. Ми з сестрою дуже добре провели час тієї суботи. Працювали декілька крамниць, тож ми трохи поприкидалися, що робимо покупки, пофотографувалися, а потім дуже смачно пообідали в кафе. Прості речі... примітивні речі, але навіть коли я пишу про це у мене очі стають вологими. Ми почувалися справді живими, так само як і наше стражденне, але нескорене місто. 

Жакет сплетений дуже давно по моделі #dropsdesign. Прикраси - одні з перших моїх робіт: намисто і сережки "Імла і троянди", та пізніші "Червона крапля" 

The sewing of this model #113 from Burda 6/2019 was quite easy despite checks. I even sewed the pockets, what I mostly avoid, and made them with pleasure. The only changed detail - I had to widen the bottom of the back for about 6 cm otherwise the checks didn't match. Also, as I had a little more than 1.6 m of the fabric, I had to make a seam in the centre of the back. By the way, I sewed the top # 112 which is the skirt paired with in the magazine.

Пошиття цієї моделі 113 з Burda 6/2019 було доволі простим незважаючи на клітинку. Я навіть кишені пошила, чого переважно уникаю, і зробила їх із задоволенням. Єдина зміна - довелося розширити низ задньої частини на приблизно 6 см, інакше не збігалися клітинки на бокових швах. І щод викласти спідницю у відріз трохи більший за 1.6 м довелося зробити шов по середині спинки. До речі, я шила топ 112, з яким в журналі скомбіновано спідницю.

The band is a little bigger than it has to be as I wanted checks to match in the front. The buttons found in my stash, they seem to be used the third time but look good anyway.

Пасок у мене трохи довший, тому що хотіла, що клітинки по середині передньої частини збігалися. Ґудзики знайшла в своїх запасах, здається, це вже їхній третій вихід, але виглядають все одно добре.

I enjoy my feeling while wearing the skirt but yet think it is worth stitching the pleats from the waist down for about 10 cm, and making a couple of those blouses.

Мені подобається, як я почуваюся в цій спідниці, але думаю, що може варто застрочити складки см на 10 вниз і все ж таки пошити тих пару блузок.

Secret Beach Dolman Sleeve Dress

 

I quite often think about a sea. Sometimes I seem to think about it all the time just not being aware of that :-) Furthermore, I even can confess that my summer sewing is almost always accompanied with the images of me walking along the sea coast or enjoying its sceneries although I never spend as much time there as I dream about it :-) So it's absolutely predictable that as soon as I saw this fabric, I was doomed to plunge into the "sea" associations, and, undoubtedly, the day devoted to a voyage to Secret Beaches in Albania was one of the best samples of such kind of rest. As it often happens, the start of the day promised not much so none of our company expected anything special. But it turned to be not just special, it was entirely unique thanking to all the activities of the day that created a real impressive mosaic consisted of a boat trip, bathing, climbing up the hills to observe 1000 years church frescos, tasting delicious  grilled food. All those were followed by limitless feeling of the freedom while jumping from the boat to dive into the clearest water and swim to the incredible white cliffs which stay surprisingly cool under the burning sun.  Until the very coming back to civilization, the question "how could I find myself here?" crossed my mind constantly making me wish to remain in that state in that moment forever. It is real happiness so how could I avoid sewing such a lose relaxed dress corresponding that mood, and unforgettable rest impressions? 

The set of the necklaces were made specially to complete the outfit.

 Сукня з суцільнокроєними рукавами "Таємний пляж"

Я доволі часто думаю про море. Іноді мені здається, що я думаю про нього весь час, тільки не усвідомлюю цього :-) Більше того, можу зізнатися, що моє літнє шиття майже завжди супроводжується моїм уявленням про те, як я гуляю уздовж морського берега або милуюся його краєвидами, хоча я ніколи не проводжу на морі стільки часу, скільки я про це мрію :-) Тож абсолютно передбачувано, ледь побачивши цю тканину, я була приречена зануритися в "морські" асоціації, а день, присвячений морській прогулянці до таємних пляжів в Албанії, став одним з найкращих зразків для спогадів про подібний відпочинок. Як часто трапляється, cпочатку день не обіцяв нічого особливого, проте згодом виявився не просто особливим, а унікальним завдяки всім тим речам, які створили справді вражаючу мозаїку складену з переходу на човні, плавання, видряпування на пагорб, щоб роздивитися тисячолітні фрески, смакування приготовленої на грилі їжі - та все це в супроводі безмежного почуття свободи в момент, коли стрибаєш з човна, занурюючись в найпрозорішу воду та пливеш до неймовірних білих скель, які на дотик залишаються на диво прохолодними під пекучим сонцем. До самого повернення до цивілізації думка, "як я міг тут опинитися?" постійно пронизує свідомість, примушуючи тебе бажати залишитися в цьому стані та часі назавжди. Це справжнє щастя, тож як можна було не пошити таку вільну невимушену сукню, яка б настільки добре відповідала тому настрою та враженням від незабутнього відпочинку? 

Набір намист створений спеціально, щоб доповнити це вбрання.

The distinctive feature of pattern #104 from Burda 4/2021 is the requirement of a lot of fabric and if it hadn't been bought on sale, I would have hardly ever made this model. The details are cut on one layer of fabric and, on an unexplainable reason, the fronts I cut wrong. Still have no idea why it happened, fortunately, it influenced the ready fit in no way. 

Особливість цієї моделі 104 з Burda 4/2021 - велика витрата тканини, і якщо б я не купила її на розпродажі, навряд чи колись пошила цю модель. Деталі кроються на тканині в один шар і, з якоїсь неосяжної причини, передні частини я покроїла неправильно. Все ще не маю жодного уявлення як таке вийшло, але, на щастя, на посадку готового виробу це не вплинуло.

After stitching darts, and front and back details together, the dress is almost ready.  As the neckline is processed with a bias tape? I reinforced the neckline edges with the interfacing stripes. 

Після зшивання виточок та передніх та задніх частин, сукня майже готова. Оскільки горловина обробляється косою бейкою, краї горловини я зміцнила смужками з прокладкової тканини.

My belt is 4 cm wide, for my figure it is enough. It is also reinforced, as it is not narrow, I'd like it not to fold while wearing. The loops for the belt were crocheted. 

Мій пасок завширшки 4 см, для моєї фігури це достатньо. Також я його зміцнила прокладкою, адже він не вузький і не хотілося, щоб він складався поки сукня носиться. Петлі для паску сплела гачком. 

The wearing of the dress is enjoyment as well as the memories about all  my sea vacations. 

Носіння сукні - суцільне задоволення, так само я к і спогади про всі мої морські відпустки.

Blue Eye Necklace

Of course, I have the dress complemented by this necklace, probably as I haven't worn them together yet,  but as the photographing of the necklace is quick and botherless, the post about jewellery, as a rule, goes first :-) The idea of the both was inspired by my last year Albania vacation one episode of which was devoted to Blue Eye, a unique geological spot, a spring of unbelievably clean fresh and cold water. Very picturesque place indeed. I'd love to find myself there again.

Намисто "Блакитне око" 

Звісно, у мене є сукня до якої це намисто чудово пасуватиме, мабуть, бо я їх ще разом не приміряла, але оскільки фотографування намиста - процес швидкий і безтурботний, допис про прикраси, як правило, іде першим:-) Ідея для обох навіяна моєю минулорічною відпусткою в Албанії, один з епізодів якої був присвячений Блакитному оку, унікальному геологічному утворенню, джерелу неймовірно чистої, свіжої і холодної води. Дуже мальовнича місцина. Із задоволенням опинилася б там знову.

 

I had a lot of materials, prepared last year, to choose, combine and mix. I made two necklaces, a triple strand, the shortest is about 38-40 cm, and a double strand, about 120 cm in length. 

P.S. By the way, I dived into that spring ;-)

У мене було багато матеріалів, підготовлених ще минулого року, щоб обирати, комбінувати і змішувати. Зробила я два намиста, одне на три низки, найкоротше приблизно 38-40 см, і одне на дві, приблизно 120 см завдовжки.

Artist's Friend Jersey Dress

 

The story, actually, is not so important or serious. I just fell in love with this fabric and its print reminded me about a collection of clothes in some old Burda magazine named Artist's Friend. The collection's garments were made of fabrics with prints as if dyed with aquarelle, or, what also could be, as if the painter rubbed his brushes with them. That entire issue was very good and I made few things from it but from the friend's wardrobe I sewed only one skirt, which has an awesome silhouette and design, but certainly has nothing in common with a typical, or stereotypical, artist's studio:-) So having come across this viscose jersey, I remembered that collection at once as the print made my imagination to float into the whirl of paints, palettes, dyeing, canvas and art galleries. However, the model to sew was chosen not from that magazine. Dress #117B from Burda 8/2021, as for me, flatters the pattern, the fabric and me wearing this garment in the best way:-) Maybe some day dressed in this outfit I even will be lucky enough to visit some of dreamt museums:-)

Трикотажна сукня "Подружка художника"

Історія сукні не така вже і важлива чи серйозна. Я просто закохалася в цю тканину і її візерунок нагадав мені про колекцію вбрання "Подружка художника" зі старого числа Burda. Одяг тієї колекції був пошитий з  тканин наче розписаних аквареллю, або, скоріше, об які художних витирав свої пензлі. Те число журналу було взагалі вдалим і з нього я пошила декілька речей, але саме з "подружкиного" гардеробу, тоді я зробила лише одну спідницю яка має прекрасний силует і крій, але, в моєму варіанті, нічого спільного з типовою, чи краще сказати, стереотипною, студією художника:-) Тож натрапивши на цей трикотаж, я одразу згадала ту колекцію, адже візерунок тканини затягнув мою уяву у вир змішаних фарб, палітр, полотен та художніх галерей. Проте, викрійку для пошиття я обрала зовсім не "колекційну". Сукня 117В з Burda 8/2021, як на мене - ідеальний варіант, що демонструє і модель, і тканину, і мене в цій сукні дуже вдало:-) Може колись пощастить та ще і омріяні музеї в цьому вбранні відвідаю :-) 

Вдалими аксесуарами до сукні, щоб вже з "богемної" теми не випадати, виявилися спеціально до сукні сплетений гачком шарф, сережки ананаси та, навіть, каблучка "Барвисті спогади":-) 

The sewing is simple. As I am shorter than 168 cm required for the Burda patterns, I always shorten them but, on the other hand, not to have the dress "jumped" because of big bust in the front, I added 1 cm in the front (it could be more). 

To reinforced the arm and neck holes I just cut 1 cm stripes of interfacing and pressed them along the according edges.

Пошиття просте. Оскільки на зріст я менше ніж необхідні для викрійок Burda 168 см, я завжди їх вкорочую, але щоб сукня не підстрибувала посередині переду через мій великий бюст, до середини переду додала 1 см (можна і більше). Для зміцнення пройм та вирізу горловини вирізала смужки завширшки 1 см з клеєвого флізеліну і потім припрасувала їх уздовж відповідних країв.

The sleeves' ruffles as well the skirt are narrow hemmed. Ready garment turned to be too wide in the waist as I always stretch the fabric while stitching so I used the seam allowance as a tunnel to pull the elastic. 

Шлярки рукавів і низ спідниці підшити подвійною підгинкою. 

Готова сукня була заширокою в талії через те, що я завжди дуже розтягую трикотажні тканини, коли зшиваю деталі, тож припуск на шов по талії я використала як кулісу, щоб втягнути еластичну стрічку.

The garment is cute indeed and has the ease good enough for curvy figure not to focus on the type of lingerie to wear underneath. 

Сукня вийшла справді дуже мила і має припуск на вільне прилягання достатній для фігури з вигинами, щоб не думати, яку під низ одягнути білизну.

Artist's Friend Scarf

 

The story of this outfit, made up of the dress and the scarf, is quite long and has deep roots but I'll start telling it with a short introduction devoted to the accessory:-) Doing some crocheting, while hiding during air alarms among two armchairs and a sofa in our living room, turned out to be a good idea because I can do it lying on the floor. So I thought as I was going to make this outfit sooner or later, why not to start it this summer. Thus from the remnants of YarnArt Lily yarn the scarf appeared without any hint for haste:-)

 

Шарф "Подружка художника" 

Історія цього вбрання доволі довга і має глибоке коріння, але я почну її розповідати з короткого вступу присвяченого аксесуарові:-) Виявилося, що ховаючись під час повітряних тривог між кріслами і диваном в нашій вітальні, можна успішно плести гачком, тому що це я можу робити лежачи на підлозі. Тож, я подумала, якщо рано чи пізно все одно збираюся створювати це вбрання, чому ж не почати цього літа. Так з залишків пряжі YarnArt Lily без жодного натяку на поспіх з'явився цей шарф:-) 

The scarf made by Drops Design pattern162-7. Strange thing happen while it was crocheted. I had two leftover skeins of the yarn and decided just to crochet as long as the yarn is over. The scarf is made from the centre to the ends. But when the first half was ready, and I started the second one, they turned to be as if made of different yarns! The first was thin and skinny, the second - dense and full. Even after blocking  they are still of different length. Two repeats of the pattern rapports - 6 cm in my scarf. The length of the scarf together with the fringe is about 230 cm. It is exactly what I wanted. 

Шарф сплетений за моделлю 162-7 від Drops Design. Під час плетіння трапилася дивна річ. У мене було два мотки залишків пряжі і я вирішила плести шарф такої довжини, наскільки вистачить пряжі. Шарф плететься від середини до кінців. Але коли закінчила першу половину і почала другу, виявилося що половинки наче з двох різних пряж! Перша - тоненька і благенька, а друга половина - щільна і наповнена. Навіть після відпарювання вони залишилися різної довжини. Два повтори рапорту візерунку - 6 см мого шарфу. Довжина шарфу разом зі своєрідними китицями - приблизно 230 см. Це саме те, що я хотіла.

Horizontally Pleated Top

 

One more wartime quick sewing from July, which would have been even quicker if I hadn't have to interrupt the process to hide during air alarms signals. But anyway it is ready and today my mama took the photos. Plain and rather boring fabric appearance of which in my stash can be explained only by incredibly low price for unbelievable high quality required not ordinary design to be used properly. Thus the piece of viscose of a strange, either grey or green or both in one, colour matched well pattern #115 from Burda 6/2014. The top, or blouse pairs well with my Universal trousers that seem to suit whatever I made now. Also the neutral colour of the garment lets display the last set of the jewelry I've finished recently in the best way.

Топ з горизонтальними складками 

Ще одна липнева річ швидкого пошиття воєнного часу, яка могла б пошитися ще швидше, якби мені постійно не треба було переривати процес, щоб ховатися під час сигналів повітряної тривоги. Але, як би там не було, він готовий і сьогодні мама нас, мене і блузку, сфотографувала. Проста і доволі нудна тканина, появу якої в моїх запасах можна пояснити лише її якоюсь несусвітньо низькою ціною за гарну якість,  потребувала незвичного дизайну, щоб виглядати пристойно; саме таким чином відріз віскози дивного, чи то сірого, чи зеленого, або і обох в одному, кольору, добре підійшов для моделі 115 з Burda 6/2014. Топ, чи блузка, гарно комбінується з моїми Універсальними штанами, які схоже пасують до всього, що я шию останнім часом. Також нейтральний колір вбрання дозволив найкращим чином виставити на показ останній набір прикрас, який я нещодавно зробила.

Sewing includes 4 steps.

1. Piping of the neck hole.

2. The armholes are narrow hemmed. To make it easier at first I folded the edge and pressed it.

3. Then stitched the side seams and then stitched the armholes.

4. Stitching the pleats. 

Пошиття складається з чотирьох кроків.

1. Обробка горловини косою бейкою.

2. Пройму оброблено подвійною підгинкою. Щоб це легше було зробити, спочатку я її запрасувала.

3. Потім зшила  бокові шви і потім застрочила підгинку.

4. Зшивання складок.

Flamingo Dress

 

In July I made few garments but had no chance to write posts about all of them as there were no possibility to take photos of all the outfits because of constant shelling. One of these projects is a small summer sleeveless dress sewed by model #108 from Burda 4/2022. The dress caught my eye at once, I even bought its PDF pattern from our site burdastyle.ua as the physical magazine was out of printing because their publishing house was destroyed. But purchasing that PDF pattern was mostly to support the people who work there as I had no chance to print it as well. As soon as the issue was published few months late, I couldn't but yield the temptation to add it to my library. The fabric for the sewing was defined at once, the only thing to mention, this piece of poplin was probably bought to sew a shirt if to judge by its length but I decided 127 cm would be enough to make a long version of the dress. This naive hope evaporated right after arranging the details on the fabric. At once the tunnels and belts were cut, there left fabric enough exactly for a shorter dress version with 63 cm skirt's length as in the magazine. For the belts it was not enough fabric either so I used extra material for them as well as for the neck hole facings and bias pipes to process the armholes.

Сукня "Фламінго"

В липні я пошила декілька речей, але про деякі у мене не було можливості скласти дописи, бо ніяк не вдавалося сфотографувати готові вироби через постійні обстріли. Одна з тих речей - маленька літня сукня без рукавів, виготовлена за моделлю 108 з Burda 4/2022. Сукня мені одразу сподобалася, я навіть PDF викрійку купила на нашому сайті burdastyle.ua, адже журнал в друкованому вигляді не виходив через те, що їхню типографію розбомбили. Проте, придбання PDF викрійки більше було, щоб підтримати людей, які там працюють, адже роздрукувати її у мене теж шансів не було. Щойно випуск з'явився, із запізненням на декілька місяців, не могла собі відмовити в бажанні додати його до своєї бібліотеки. З тканиною одразу визначилася, єдине: цей, здається, поплін був куплений для пошиття сорочки, якщо судити з довжини відрізу, проте, я чомусь вирішила, що 127 см вистачить на довгий варіант сукні. Це наївне сподівання випарувалося щойно деталі розклалися на тканині: з довжини одразу відрізала куліси та паски і залишилося рівно на коротку сукню, навіть журнальної довжини, 63 см від талії. На паски теж не зовсім вистачило - довелося зробити їх з двох частин і додати оздоблювальну тканину, з цієї ж додаткової тканини викроїла обшивки горловини і канти для обробки пройм.

To cut the facings the details 24 and 23 were used. 

Обшивки покроєні по деталях 23 та 24. 

The belts are 135 cm length (the fabric's width). The ready belts, after pulling into the tunnels, were sewed to the dress on the wrong side to avoid their moving back and forth. 

Паски 135 см довжиною (ширина тканини). Готові паски, після затягування у куліси, я пришила до сукні з виворітного боку, щоб не перетягувалися вперед назад. 

Final steps.

1. I sewed the facing to the front part of the dress in the folds of the pleats.

2.Two heart buttons were sewed and the loop was crocheted and sewed. To fasten the dress the loop must be twisted in an infinity symbol. 

Останні кроки.

1. Обшивку я пришила до передньої частини в глибині складок.

2.Два ґудзики-сердечки були пришиті, також петлю сплела гачком і теж пришила. Щоб застібнути сукню, петлю треба скрутити  у форму "вісімки". 

So, instead of Hawaiian shirt I got a Hawaiian dress adjusted to the hot summer city. And it is gorgeous indeed:-) 

Отже, замість гавайської сорочки у мене вийшла гавайська сукня пристосована до спекотного літнього міста. І це прекрасно:-)
