Today I'm sharing a quick project with a long cutting story. It is a lovely pullover made of soft textured jersey by model #3B from Burda Easy 3/2019, or #6367B. It was made for half a day but its cutting took the whole one because I started in the morning, several times was interrupted by different urgent activities and thus finished late in the evening when it was dark enough and, for example, I didn't notice that two right sleeves were cut🤭. The outcome is gorgeous: I like the dropped shoulders, gathered sleeves and also very pleased with neat ease which doesn't create any bulging or wrinkles in the area of a bust and arm hole despite the pattern is without darts.
Смугастий пуловер з пишними рукавами
Сьогодні ділюся швидким проектом з довгою історією кроя. Це гарненький пуловер з м'якого текстурованого трикотажу пошитий по моделі #3 з Burda Easy 3/2019, або #6367B. Пошила я його за пів дня, але кроїла цілий, оскільки почала вранці, а через різні нагальні справи, які декілька разів переривали процес, закінчила пізно ввечері, коли вже не було видно, що я, наприклад, покроїла два рукави на одну руку🤭. Кінцевий результат пркрасний: мені подобаються спущені плечі, зізборені рукави, і також дуже приємне вільне облягання яке не створює жодних зборок з зайвої тканини в районі лінії грудей та пройм, хоча модель немає виточок.
The shoulder seams are reinforced with interfacing.
As you see, my cat approved both the model and sewing entirely:-)

At first, I wasn't sure what sleeves, either straight or gathered, to choose so cut both straight and also cone parts. After trying the pullover on, decided to make bishop ones. The sleeves were too long, I shortened them for about 3 cm but made a mistake with the length of the elastic, had to measure and cut it a little bit longer.
The length of my top is about 15 cm shorter than in the magazine.
I also like the loose design of the collar as I hate a tight turtle neck.
Спочатку я не була впевнена які рукави, чи прямі чи зібрані, обрати тож вирізала і прямі і конуси. Після примірки вирішила робити пишні. Рукави надто довгі, вкоротила їх на 3 см, але гумову стрічку треба було трохи довшу в куліску втягувати.
Мій топ приблизно на 15 см коротший за журнальний.
Також мені сподобався вільний крій коміру, тому що терпіти не можу прилягаючий комір-голіф.
In October from one of YouTube sewing vloggers I learned about Finish That WIP 2024 Instagram Challenge. My profile in that net is still dead but I got interested in the idea and looked through my WIPs which I actually hate to pile so try to avoid. On the other hand, I am not sure if it's really possible to do without any if you are a crafty person and yet I found a few ones: a seed bead embroidery for home decor, a postponed necklace and these black jeans cut together with the skirt in May.
Широкі чорні джинси
В жовтні від однієї з YouTube влогерок дізналася про Finish That WIP 2024 Instagram Challenge (WIP - work in progress - робота в процесі, визначення доволі іронічне, адже це можуть бути проєкти, які відкладені роки тому:-)). Мій профіль в тій мережі все ще мертвий, але ідея мене зацікавила і я передивилася свої WIPи, які, на загал, я терпіти не можу і тому намагаюся уникати. З іншого боку, я не певна, що бути рукотворницею та обійтися без таких відкладених проєктів можливо, тож я все ж таки знайшла декілька: бісерну вишивку для домашнього декору, відкладене намисто і ці чорні джинси покроєні разом зі спідницею ще в травні.
To make the jeans I chose pattern #106 from Burda 10/2021. In the magazine they are culottes so lengthened them.
In the photo the jeans are combined with a white blouse and decorated with Heart earrings.
Для пошиття таких джинсів я використала модель 106 з Burda 10/2021. В журналі це кюлоти, тож я їх подовжила.
Despite the ready jeans are not bad, I cannot say I was making them with pleasure. I had to correct the length of the zipper when they were already ready (on the photo blue mark points how I deeppened the fly), I also lengthened them not enough so had to hem with facings.
Хоча готові джинси не такі вже і погані, не можу сказати, що шила їх з задоволенням. Довелося виправляти довжину блискавки, коли штани вже були готові (на фото синя позначка вказує наскільки довелося поглибити гульфик), також я недостатньо їх подовжила, тому довелося підшивати обшивками.
I left house yesterday and felt the autumn came in full so I urgently need a hat to match my new jacket. I even didn't have to buy any new yarn as in my stash had a skein of Alize LanaGold in the most appropriate colour (the real hue in the middle photo of the hat on the ironing board), saturated Bordeaux. The crochet hat pattern from DropsDesign was found quickly on their site and took me yesterday evening to start and finish it.
This time I was wearing earrings made with crochet bead, one of my beading project ever, by the way:-)
Бордовий гачкований капелюшок
Вчора вийшла з будинку і одразу відчула, що осінь вже тут невідворотньо, тож до нового жакету мені терміново потрібна шапка. Мені навіть не довелося купувати пряжі, бо в запасах знайшовся моток Alize LanaGold потрібного кольору (реальний відтінок на фото посередині, де шапка лежить на прасувальній дошці), насиченого бордо. Модель гачкованого капелюшка швидко знайшлася на сайті DropsDesign і за вчорашній вечір я її і згачкувала.
This year I have to solve the problem of in between seasons clothing as from my outwear, after gaining some weight, I only can put on earrings :-) It caused the sewing this cozy jacket of interesting fabric whose print is inspired either by impressionist's art or memories about granny's carpet, or maybe even reminds the opulence of New Baroque style (to be honest, have no idea if such a term exists:-)) The perfect match for this incredible fabric turned out to be model Burda #6727. By the way, while working on this very project I drew a conclusion that, according to my experience, the choice of patterns to make outer clothing is defined by fabrics and to make light garments by the models.

Цього року виникла необхідність оновлення міжсезоннного гардеробу, оскільки з верхнього одягу через зміну вагі можу натягнути на себе лише сережки, тож так і з'явився цей затишний жакет з цікавої тканини, чий візерунок навівює чи то враження від картин імпресіоністів, чи то спогади про бабусин килим, а то і нагадує розкіш стилю нео бароко (чесно сказати, не знаю чи такий існує:-)). До цієї неймовірної тканини якнайкраще підійшла модель Burda PDF #6727. До речі, саме поки шила це вбрання подумала, що вибір моделей для пошиття верхнього одягу, з мого досвіду, надихається тканиною, а для виготовлення легкого - моделями, які хочеш пошити.
All the edges I reinforced in a standard for coats way. I also lined the garment.
Size 42 but I added 1.5 cm to every side to be sure I could put on a warm sweater underneath.
Всі краї зміцнила в стандартний для пальто спосіб. Також жакет поставлений на підкладку.
Розмір 42, але по боках додала по 1,5 см, щоб можна було під низ одягнути теплий светр.
For the belts two ribbons were sewed together. In this way they feel more reliable and solid :-)
Для зав'язок дві стрічки було зшито разом. Так вони виглядають надійніше і солідніше :-)
In the circled photo it's shown that I was short of fabric so the upper collar needed some extra fabric to add but is not seen whle wearing the jacket in no way.
The lining went in usual way. I told about the process in details few times, for example, here and here.
Besides the snap on the waist, I sewed one more along the collar around the bust line.
Generally, I am very proud of myself as I didn't wasted my time at weekend and spent it both useful and pleasant being engaged in hobby.
На обведеному фото видно, що мені не вистачило тканини тож верхній комір потребував дошивання клаптиків, проте цього жодним чином не побачиш, коли жакет одягнений. Підкладку пришито в звичайний спосіб. Докладно про це розповідала, наприклад, тут і тут. Крім кнопки на талії, також пришила кнопку приблизно по лінії грудей.
Назагал, дуже пишаюся, що не змарнувала вихідних і провела їх корисно занурившись в улюблене заняття.

I am in hurry to share a short post about my new linen shirt as it's a kind of a sewing wonder I could make it being so busy at work :-) I cut it in the end of August and last weekend was the first one I had some time to sew since then. So I am very happy with the chace and the outcome. The shirt is model #119 from Burda 6/2013. I don't have that magazine so bought the pattern #118, the whole point of the purchasing turned to be that for one price I got three patterns as after printing and sticking all the parts of the patterns sheet, all tree items made by the same draft are in it not depending which of them you buy. The only problem, if there's any, you get only the instruction you paid for, e.g. mine is for model #118. I like all three garments, they look different and thus I hope to sew all of them, or, at least another blouse, the fabric for which has been derfined already.
Лляна Сорочка з рукавом 3/4
Поспішаю поділитися коротким дописом про мою нову лляну сорочку, бо це таке собі кравецьке диво, що я змогла її зробити через мою зайнятість на роботі:-) Покроїла ще наприкінці серпня і з того часу минулі вихідні стали першими які змогла присвятити пошиттю. Тож дуже задоволена і можливістю і результатом. Сорочка - модель 119 з Burda 6/2013. Того журналу не маю, тож купила викрійку моделі 118, фішка покупки виявилася в тому, що за одну ціну я отримала викрійки всіх моделей пошитих по одній викрійці, оскільки всі вони розташовані на одному аркуші після того як розрукуєш їх і поклеїш. Єдина проблема, якщо це проблема, звісно, інструкції отримуєш лише до моделі яку купив, мої, наприклад, до моделі 118. Мені подобаються всі три вироби, тож сподіваюся і пошити їх всі, або, принаймні ще одну блузку, з тканиною для якої вже визначилася.
I added darts, which you can see on the dress, to the my shirt but on the back I will probably rip them.
In the pattens sheet there was no draft of the back facing. Of course, I could draft it on my own but decided to cover the collar back joining seam with bias binding, cut it 6 cm wide, then fold and press.
До своєї сорочки додала виточки, які ми бачимо на сукні, але на спинці їх точно випорю.
На аркуші викрійок не було креслення обшивки спинки, я, звісно вмію таке креслити, але я вирішила прикрити шов втачування коміра косою бейкою. Покроїла її завширшки 6 см, потім склала вздовж і припрасувала.
My vacation is over and I am moving from the position of an active needlecrafter to the position of a dreamer in the world of needlecrafter's imagination. When I put on this new garment and looked at my reflection in the mirror, one thought crossed my mind. I discovered that this year I haven't written any traditional post about my regular plan to spend a couple of weeks at the seashore. So I drew a conclusion if I don't work on my holiday wardrobe, I wouldn't be ready to that if the case happens :-) The big motifs of the fabric chosen for sewing this loose comfortable dress good both for wandering around cosy beautiful towns and visiting beaches, certainly conjured up the images of far captivating lands with lovely landscapes which are so pleasant to miss and dream about.
Вільна сукня "Далекі краї"
Відпустка закінчилася і я переходжу зі стану активного рукотворця в стан мрійника у світі рукотворних фантазій. Коли я одягнула це нове вбрання і подивилася на своє відображення в дзеркалі, у мене промайнула думка, що цього року я не написала жодного традиційного допису про свій регулярний план провести пару тижнів на морському узбережжі. Тож я дійшла висновку, що якщо не працюватиму над своїм відпускним гардеробом, то буду до того не готова, якщо раптом воно трапиться:-) Тканина, яку я обрала для цієї зручної вільної сукні гожою як для прогулянок затишними гарними містечками так і для походів на пляж, своїми великими мотивами саме і навіяла мені образи далекіх привабливих берегів з чарівними пейзажами, за якими так приємно сумувати та мріяти.
This effective viscose twill matched perfectly pattern #124 from Burda 6/2024 as the dress has no extra line. The sewing must have been quick but I cut it two weeks ago and finished only yesterday: school start is mostly a dead season in my sewing room. I changed nothing but shortened the dress for about 3-4 cm as it is too long for my 165 cm height. The garment is really loose, I made size 42 but 40 would be not bad as well if only it woudln't be narrow to walk easily.
Цей ефектний віскозний твіл ідеально підійшов до моделі 124 з Burda 6/2024 оскільки сукня не має жодної зайвої лінії. Пошиття мало бути швидке, але покроїла я її ще два тижні тому, а закінчила лише вчора: початок школи - переважно мертвий сезон у мене в майстерні. В моделі нічого не міняла, тільки вкоротила її десь на 3-4 см, бо для моїх 165 см зросту сукня аж занадто довга. Силует справді вільний, я пошила розмір 42, але і 40 був би добре, аби не став завузький для вільної ходьби.
To sew the dress took 2 m of the fabric and the remnants were used to make a belt, I like to wear garment better with it. To decorate the image I chose Silver Rain, and Freezing Wind Necklaces and earrings.
На пошиття сукні пішло 2 м тканини, а залишків було достатньо щоб зробити пасок, і з ним мені подобається носити сукню більше. Щоб прикрасити образ, я обрала намиста "Срібний дощик", "Морозний вітерець" та сережки.
Last summer I was lucky to have few short trips around Cherkaschyna and wrote a couple of posts about them in the context of my sewing. One garment wasn't shared then on some reasons thus I want to refresh those moments telling about the dress made specially for one of the trips. The days were very hot and to fell comfortable I needed something very light nd loose. Model #112 from Burda 2/2023 seemed one of the best choices. To make it I used very thin and quite sheer batiste, and the deep pleats let me avoid using lining.
Сукня в складки "Космея"
Минулого літа мені пощастило трохи помандрувати Черкащиною і я зробила декілька дописів про ті поїздки в контексті мого шиття. Один з нарядів не отримав тоді опису з певних причин, тож хочу освіжити ті спогади розповідаючи про сукню пошиту спеціально до однієї з тих подорожей. Дні були спекотні і я потребувала чогось легкого і вільного. Модель 112 з Burda 2/2023 здалася одним з найкращим варіантів. Для пошиття я вибрала дуже тонкий і доволі прозорий батист, а глибокі складкі дозволили уникнути пришивання підкладки.
As I am a busty girl, the straight pleats from the shoulders to the bust created rather fluffy shapeless look so I narrowed the bodice at the end of the pleats and this made a bit fitted silhouette which suits me better. I made that both on the back and on the front but after the trip the change on the back was ripped to the initial pattern as in hot weather I felt too sweaty with that extra fit.
The garment is wide and loose enough to omit a zipper.
Оскільки я дівчина з помітним бюстом, прямі складки від плечей створювали занадто пишний вигляд копиці сіна, тож я завузила верхню частину в кінці складок і це утворило невеличке прилягання, яке мені краще пасує. Я це зробила і на спинці і по переду, але після мандрівки на спинці ці зміни випорола і повернулася до початкового варіанту, тому що з тим додатковим приляганням у найспекотніші години забагато пітніла.
Вбрання достатньо широке і вільне, щоб обійтися без блискавки.
This part of the trip included staying in the Heart of Ukraine, unbelievable patriotic landmark representing all the regions of Ukraine as our country's wings and her Heart Beating (you can hear it clicking the video), and several relaxing hours in the Valley of Flowers, a picturesque place created to relieve stress and anxiety.
Ця частина подорожі включала відвідування Серця України, неймовірного патріотичного місця, яке предстваляє всі області України у вигляді її крил та її сердцебиття (його можна почути тицьнувши на відео), а також декілька годин відпочинку в Долині квітів, мальовничої місцини створеної знімати тривожність і напругу.
Yesterday at last finished yellow projects :-) The last one is a three strand necklace made of four kinds of glass beads. The strands are about 109, 106, and 100 cm. As today our National Flag Day, I took the photo to honour it :-)
Жовте намисто на три низки
Вчора закінчила нарешті жовті проекти :-) Останній - це намисто на три низки з чотирьох видів скляних намистин. Низки на приблизно 109, 106 і 100 сь. Оскільки сьогодні у нас День Державного Прапору, фото зробила, щоб його вшанувати :-)
By the way, I tried on Water Melody Necklace and this one yellow, they look lovely together.
До речі, я приміряла це нове жовте разом з намистом "Мелодія води", виглядаює гарно :-)
The yellow beads have been on my table for a week or even more, and I'm already a little bored of them. Also I see clearly that the continuation of Simple Forms brakes. A couple of days ago I strung a few samples to think which necklace I don't mind to have. The yellow rice beads were surely not my favourites so I desided to use them to experiment with a wire memory bracelet the idea of which I found from tutorial on The Stylish Maker channel. They turned to be not bad for the bracelet. Even if not to join all the single pieces, the bracelet is ready to wear but I yet wanted to weave it into braid. I wasn't happy with pins on which I put the single pieces so tried to straight those pins as well as could, and also made big loops on the ends. Next time I would make the single pieces shorter.
Браслет з міксу жовтих намистин на дроті з пам'яттю
Жовті намистини вже тиждень чи навіть більше лежать у мене на столі і трохи мені набридли, і бачу, що продовження до "Простих форм" у мене не йде. Пару днів тому нанизала декілька зразків з решти намистин, щоб подумати які намиста мені були б до вподоби. Жовті намистини типу "рис" мені не сподобалися і я вирішила витратити їх на експеремент з браслетом з проволоки з памяттю, ідею якого я взяла з майстер класу на каналі The Stylish Maker . В браслеті вони непогано виглядають. Навіть якщо не з'єднувати окремі низки, браслет вже можна носити, але мені все ж таки хотілося заплести їх в косичку. Не дуже красиво повели себе піни на які я нанизала серію браслетіків, довелося їх випрямляти по можливості і зробити великі петлі по краях. Наступного разу низки зробила б коротші.
This is the dress that made me fix the yellow necklace. My friend and I were going on an excursion around our city's landmarks and I decided to use the event to sew a quick and comfortable garment good for that kind of occasion. When the dress was ready, I was thinking about matching the jewellery, and from what I had, the yellow pieces seemed the best. Fortunately, my friend called on time and warned me I had to put on trainers and trousers to wander through thickets and dry grass so I had enough time to fix the jewellery and, at last, take photos of me in this retro vibe outfit.
Сукня з рукавами кімоно "Серпанковий ранок"
Це саме та сукня яка спонукала мене відремонтувати жовте намисто. Ми з подругою зібралися на екскурсію по цікавим місцям нашого міста і я вирішила скористатися нагодою щоб пошити швидке і зручне вбрання гоже для такого заняття. Коли сукня вже була готова і я підбирала до неї прикраси, з того, що у мене є, жовті мені сподобалися найбільше. На щастя, подруга вчасно зателефонувала і попередила, щоб я взула кросівки і одягнула штани для блукання по хащах та сухій траві, тож у мене з'явилося достатньо часу для ремонту прикрас і, нарешті, фотографування мене в цьому вбранні з ретро флером.
I've already used pattern #6451 for making the Lavender Dress last year but this time I did want to keep to the model and the only thing I changed was omitting the collar and making a boat neck hole; to get it I widened the neck hole for 4 cm (that mentioned dress had 5 cm widening).
The picture of the dress has no back view drawing and I only knew about its buttons when cut the paper pattern. The next confusing thing, in the instructions they say nothing about how to process the back fastening of the bodice to have it buttoned and unbuttoned. So I had to make it in my own way. I hope it's clear from the photos but if there are any questions, just ask.
Я вже користувалася цією викрійкою #6451 для пошиття сукні "Лавандова мандрівка" минулого року, але цього разу хотілося все ж таки дотримуватися моделі якнайліпше, і єдине що я змінила - відмовилася від коміру та розширила горловину на 4 см, щоб отримати виріз човником (в тій згаданій сукні розширення було на 5 см).
Малюнок моделі не має вигляду спинки і те, що вона має застібку на гудзики, я дізналася лише після того, як вирізала викрійку. Наступний бентежний момент, в інструкції нічого не сказано проте, як обробити застібку на ліфі спинки, адже застібка тут функціональна. Тож мені довелося зробити це на свій розсуд. Сподіваюся з фото це зрозуміло, але якщо є питання, просто запитайте.
Instead of the slit on the back part of the skirt I made a bow pleat otherwise, I had no chance to cut the dress of 2.5 m of this viscose.
Замість шліци на задній частині спідниці, я зробила зустрічну складку, по- іншому мені б не вистачило 2,5 м віскози для розкроя сукні.
While processing the back bodice fastening, I thought there was an easier way to make it, however, it was too late to change the process. But if I ever use the pattern again, I will surely apply my idea.
Під час обробки застібки ліфу спинки, я подумала, що був простіший спосіб це зробити, але вже пізно міняти процес. Але якщо колись знову користуватимусь цією викрійкою, то, напевно, задію мою ідею.
I updated the necklace at last. I see no crucial difference with the initial because I decided I love it enough as it is. Besides the torn up rope I had to rip the rest as well. Four of them were rusty and ready to break too. I wish I knew why it happened. So in fact, I strung six ropes using new bead wire and added one more, they are seven now thus the necklace became fluffier and heavier.
Намисто "Золота середина" (Оновлено)
Оновила нарешті намисто. Великої різниці з тим що було не дуже видн: я вирішила, що воно мені і так дуже подобається. Крім порваної низки, довелося розібрати і решту: ще чотири тросики виявилися іржавими і також ненадійними. Хотілося б знати чому таке сталося. Отже в підсумку, я зробила шість низок на новому тросику і додала ще одну, тепер їх сім. Тож намисто стало пухнастішим і важчим.
The rest of materials, or at least most of them, I am planning to use for making a few necklaces to go on with simple forms. I hope not to postpone that for unknown time as I have the only table for both sewing and beading so besides the piles of beads, the piles of cut clothes are on it too:-)
Решту матеріалів, чи принаймні більшу їх частину, планую використати для декількох намист в продовження теми простих форм. Сподіваюся, це н відкладеться на невизначений час, бо стіл у мене один і для шиття і для виготовлення прикрас, тож на ньому не лише купа намистин, а ще і покроєні раніше речі лежать :-)
Something switched in my head so after stringing Simple Shapes Necklace the process of renovating was postponed and I jumped to my ancient idea to make a pendant using the ticket to Zvinger Palace. I am not that sentimental and it is the only museum ticket I've ever saved but 10 years🙄! "The chance to see the city was very important for me... because of my [unreal childish] dream to visit the Dresden Gallery and see the Sistine Madonna. It was my second very sentimental moment during my trip and it's hard to explain what it meant for me: to come into the hall, stand there, in front of the picture, and admire." (I wrote this under one of the photos in my Dresden Album).

Щось у мене в голові перемкнулося тож після нанизування намиста "Прості форми" процес оновлення відклався і я перестрибнула до своєї давньої ідеї зробити кулон з квитка до Zvinger Palace. Я не така вже і сентиментальна, але цей музейний квиток у мене зберігався 10 років😳. Мабуть тому, що відвідування Дрездену та його знаменитої галереї і побачення з "Сикстинською Мадоною" було для мене чимось дуже значимим і з дитинства омріяним, таким що ніколи не могло трапитися, але відбулося.
The ticket was a little wrinkled, I ironed it but it didn't help, the only thing happened - its back side turned black🙄. Then I cut the piece of the ticket according to the cabochone's shape, glued it to the glass, then to the felt, and bezeled the cabochone with 11.0 Matsuno 2 cut seed beads, 15.0 Czech chalotte beads (I still have no idea what needle I need to work with them and beadweave with thread at once), and 11.0 Toho seed beads. The pallette was matched the picture's colour style. Hung on the chain.
Квиток трохи прим'явся, я його попрасувала, але це не допомогло, єдине, що змінилося - його зворотній бік почорнів🙄. Потім по формі кабошону вирізала фрагмент, приклеїла його до скла, потім до фетру, а потім вже обшила його бісером # 11.0 Matsuno 2 cut, 15.0 Czech chalotte (все ще так і не маю жодного уявлення яка потрібна голка, щоб з ним працювати і нанизую одразу лескою), та #11.0 Toho. Палітру підбирала до кольорової гами картини. Повісила на ланцюжок.
In the previous post I told about the preparation to fix and renovate my Golden Mean Necklace. However, after looking through the materials, the first thing I strung was a two strand simple necklace every rope of which assembled with one kind of beads.
Намисто "Прості форми"
В попередньому дописі я розповідала про підготовку до ремонту та переробки мого намиста "Золота середина". Проте переглянувши матеріали, першим я зробила просте намисто на дві низки, складених з одного виду намистин кожна.
Few of my necklaces have broken recently because of the torn up jewellery wire. One of these necklaces is my Golden Mean which I wear quite often as it matches a lot of things in my wardrobe. The necklace makes a set with the earrings, of course. I postponed the fixing the necklace until yesterday when I finished a new dress and this set turned to be the best accessory to the garment. Thus I gathered all new materials I bought to renovate the necklace a little and understood I would start with a new pair of earrings. The first variant was with golden pearls but after wearing the earrings a couple of hours I changed my mind and changed the pearls for glass beads (now I have the pair as on the last photo).
Сережки "Золота середина" ІІ
Останнм часом декілька моїх намист зіпсувалися через порваний ювелірний тросик. Одне з цих намист "Золота середина", яке я доволі часто надягаю, тому що воно гарно поєднується з багатьма речами в моєму гардеробі. Звісно, що з відповідними сережками намисто утворює набір. Я відкладала ремонт намиста до вчорашнього дня, коли я закінчила нову сукню і саме цей набір виявився найкращим аксесуаром до вбрання. Тож я зібрала всі нові матеріали, які я купила, щоб трохи оновити намисто і зрозуміла, що почну я з нової пари сережок. Перший варіант був з золотими перлинами, але поносивши їх пару годин, передумала і поміняла перли на скляні намистини (на останньому фото останній варіант).
When it's as hot as 35-40°C (95-104°F) above zero as we've had here this July, the last thing that troubles you is how to look well instead how to survive in all sences (I mean together with power cuts and air alerts). But if suddenly the desire to stay beautiful hasn't gone, pattern Burda #6496 can help to some degree :-) I would say it's one of my favourite summer patterns now and having in mind its opportunities for modifications, I certainly will use it again. To sew the dress I chose large scale viscose which required a simple pattern with minimum seams and lines. Thus the model and fabric became a perfect match :-)
Сукня в стилі ампір "Аромати серпня"
Коли на вулиці 35-40°C вище нуля, як у нас тут було цього липня, останнє що тебе турбує, як при цьому гарно виглядати замість того, як вижити і це в усіх сенсах, адже тривоги і відключення світла ніхто не скасовував. Але, якщо раптом бажання залишатися красунею все ж такі не полишає, модель Burda #6496 може до певної міри допомогти :-) Я б сказала, що на сьогодні це одна з моїх улюблених літніх викрійок і, беручі до уваги можливості модифікацій, напевно буду знову нею користуватися. Для пошиття сукні я обрала віскозу з великим візерунком, тканина яка потребувала мінімум швів і конструктивних ліній. Тож модель і тканина стали чудовою парою :-)
Initially, I planned making dress A but with sleeves. After choosing the fabric I refused from wrap bodice as wasn't sure how it would look and fit. The skirt is a false wrap, it means we have a full front skirt and a flying detail imitaiting the wrap, both of them are sewed in the bust line seam.
Despite I had 3 m (or maybe they yet were 2.5?) of the fabric, it wasn't enough to cut the flying detail to match the fabric pattern. I even failed with matching the front bodice and skirt, unfortunately. Nevertheless I love my garment, the way how it looks, suits and fits me:-)
Спочатку я збиралася шити модель А, але з рукавами. Обравши тканину відмовилася від варіанту з запахом верху, тому що не була впевнена як він буде виглядати та сидіти. Спідниця - має несправжній захід, вона має повний цілий перед з відлітною деталлю, яка імітує захід, і все це разом вшивається в поперечний рельєфний шов.
Хоча в мене було 3 м (чи може їх було все ж такі 2,5?) тканини, це виявилося недостатньо, щоб підібрати малюнок і викроїти відлітну деталь, мені навіть не вдалося підібрати як слід малюнок для верхньої частини переду. А поза тим, я задоволена моїм вбранням, і наскільки воно мене личить, і пасує і добре сидить:-)
The sewing is quite simple and quick. The only thing I must admit. The cap of the sleeve was quite big so this time I had to gather it on the sewing machine. Actually, it is not the problem, it is a right thing to do but I mostly neglect this process and make it while basting the sleeve to the arm hole at once.
Пошиття доволі просте і швидке. Єдине маю відзначити, що окат руава був величенький і доволеся призібрати його на машинці. Але це не проблема, так робити правильно і варто, просто переважно я цією операцією нехтую, роблю це одразу вметуючи рукава в пройму.
I also must add that the pattern masks a big bust pretty well if no to make it more fitted and leave it as it is. And, by the way, my green jewellery from previous four posts were inspired by this very dress :-)
P.S. The name for the dress, August Fragrance, is invented by my colleague and I enjoyed her idea.
Маю також додати, що сукня добре маскує великий бюст, якщо не приталювати її, а залишити силует вільним. І, до речі, саме вона надихнула мене на виготовлення моїх зелених прикрас з попередніх чотирьох дописів :-)
P.S. Назву для сукні, "Аромати серпня", вигадала моя колега, і мені її їдея дуже сподобалася.
The last necklace of my Green Set is a simple rope assembled, in fact, with the rest of beads left from stringing rope I, II and III. I didn't follow any definite pattern, made it in random order alterating small lampwork beads, and 11.0 and 8.0 seed beads. The length of the rope is 1.5 m. The common weight of all the set is 263 grams.
Зелений набір. Випадкова низка ІV
Останнє намисто з мого Зеленого набору - це, фактично, проста низка зібрана з рештків намистин, які залишилися після нанизування І, ІІ і ІІІ низок. Жодних схем я не додтримувалася, нанизувала у випадковому порядку чергуючи невеликі намистини lampwork та бісер розмірів 11.0 і 8.0. Ця остання низка вийшла 1,5 м довжиною. Загальна вага набору 263 грами.
Today I'm sharing a quick project with a long cutting story. It is a lovely pullover made of soft textured jersey by model #3B from Burda Easy 3/2019, or #6367B. It was made for half a day but its cutting took the whole one because I started in the morning, several times was interrupted by different urgent activities and thus finished late in the evening when it was dark enough and, for example, I didn't notice that two right sleeves were cut🤭. The outcome is gorgeous: I like the dropped shoulders, gathered sleeves and also very pleased with neat ease which doesn't create any bulging or wrinkles in the area of a bust and arm hole despite the pattern is without darts.
